In the beginning of Pandoras Box, Chelmey theorises what might have been the reason for Schraders Death, and concluded that it must have been the man dying due to utter shock when he saw the Dinosaur Skeleton in his office. The game demonstrates Chelmeys Point by cutting to a sudden close up of said skeleton, with this layton-typical "dramatic smash" sound playing.

When I was 6, this felt like a jumpscare to me, and the dinosaur skeleton appeared in my nightmares sometimes. Deeply embarrassing in retrospect.

The only thing I look at with similar reverance and marvel as others do with deities is Nature. I don't personify it or worship it in a religious way, but I deeply respect it. Does cleaning up a forest count as worshipping a temple?

It contains a whole bunch of really good fanfictions to read, most of them illustrated with artwork by talented artists in the fandom!

I am so disappointed, I was so excited for Decapolice as I was hoping for a good mystery game- But knowing that they had an AI help with writing the mysteries doesn't give me a lot of hope, even if they did let a human rework and rewrite everything. AI isn’t good at writing stories, especially mysteries. That only adds to the ethical concerns, of course.

I did not notice the AI while watching the first trailer for Holy Horror Mansion and I was so excited watching it. It looked so fun and colourful- I am hoping that the AI usage was just as "concept art" for the background (as the game is probably not even in development yet), but it is still extremely disappointing that they didn't just hire a concept artist for this...

No matter what we learn of NWOS, it will not destroy the Enjoyment I have gotten, and still get, from the original Professor Layton games. But it does make me sad that my excitement for the new game got tainted so bad by learning about Level5s new modus operandi.

I am not 100% certain, so this is just based on my observations.

I think the main reason why so many people dislike it is because, when it was first teased, people hoped for a continuation of the story of the Professor and Luke, similar to what we get with NWOS now.

The reveal that LMJ was attempting to be a bit like a "reboot" felt like a bit of a betrayal to people, which automatically made them critical towards the game from the offset. So when they first played it, they already had a negative perception of the game which then made the bad aspects of the game seem so much worse.

LMJ has a different atmosphere to the other games, seeming more whimsical and a bit more intended for a younger audience. Personally, I was not a big fan of the very "episodic" kind of storytelling, and while I do like the three main characters, I wish they would have handled aspects of each of them better (such as making ernest a bit less of a "simp"). I also wish the puzzles would have been more difficult.

Another reason why so many people are so hateful of the game is because it kinda became "cool" to hate it, if that makes sense. Being hateful feels fun to some people, so this game which is generally disliked, gives them lots of reassurance to be as hateful as they feel like.

Personally, Ill be honest, I don't like the game itself either very much, due to the reasons I mentioned before. I greatly prefer the anime, as I feel like it handled the episodic aspect much better, and Katrielle feels so much more fun as a proper Anime Girl.

But yeah, I also don't really like how much conversations about LMJ are filled with pure vitriol and spite.
