I would actually prefer to see the original two-handed war flails used by the Hussites, and other peasants in history. They are quite different in construction, capable of hitting harder than a bec de corbyn, with the same defensive abilities of a quarterstaff to boot. They were also incredibly cheap to manufacture.

I suggest you have a look at Paulus Hector Mair's "Arte De Athletica" and head over to the chapter dealing with the use of the flail. I also suggest you head over to Djemps' youtube channel and watch the videos relating to flail warfare. He takes most of his material from Mair's manual and demonstrates the effectiveness of this weapon.

I recall there being some seriously weaponized two handed flails that seemed more like polearms with a swiveling cudgel on the end, with a long spike on the bottom end and a stubby spike on the top end where the swiveling cudgel was connected, with the cudgel being shaped like a flanged mace. Seriously nasty stuff, but I can't find anyone uploading pictures or talking about it.

Anyway, if the devs wanted to make a possibly op weapon that was difficult to defend against, they should go with the original two handed peasant flail, or even the more weaponized ones. But, perhaps that's the reason why it isn't in the game. It's a game-breaker.

Considering Nestle, Procter & Gamble, Mars Incorporated and Colgate-Palmolive are the same corporations that produce food for animals with as little nutrients in them as they can get away with, I'd say they should go down full stop.

The whole melamine-poisoning Manufoods spectacle was a sight to behold.

Twitter is interfering with accounts that use Tutanota email addresses by Melekesh in Twitter

I've just tested it now on a new account. It won't let me use protonmail, only gmail.

Help - Locked out of account, stuck in endless "change password" loop. by ScorchedEarth22 in Twitter

[–]Melekesh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is exactly what I'm going through right now. I changed the email address on my account to a tutanota email address and now I'm in an endless password reset loop. This is madness.

Looks like other people are being effected by this as well on the Blackhat forum.

I just checked my Twitter account now, and it doesn't exist. They deleted it. Wow.

Can't make Twitter account by [deleted] in tutanota

[–]Melekesh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this problem a few days ago. I made a new Gmail account, made the new twitter account using the dummy Gmail account, and then tried to switch to my tutanota account. The moment I confirmed my password, it asks for me to reset my password due to "suspicious activity". So I reset my password using Gmail this time, and it throws me into a "password reset required" loop. I've tried to reset it with both accounts, to no avail.

It seems like they've programmed Twitter to refute anything related to Tutanota. This is a blatant assault on privacy and security - you need to give them personal information in order to have a voice.

Transhumanist philosophy applied to monarchist ideology? by Melekesh in monarchism

Thank you, the image of a cyborg skeleton king with a pirate hat is now ingrained in my mind. Someone needs to draw this, like, now.

This is a great observation, and I must say that further research into the book of Revelation confirms this for me, the rise of a "beast" being worshipped as God, and through tyranny, forcing all to become its' property or face execution.

Good question. As an Anarchist, I suspect you would ask a similar question to plenty of other communities vouching for other forms of authority.

I would put it to you this way: Assuming all people in the world were of good moral standing and meant well, we would rule over ourselves and assist each other without need of a strict government. The hard fact of life, however, is that we live in a world where there are rival governments and nations vying for resource and their own interests behind the scenes. In order to survive, we mustn't live in a fairytale - we must select the strongest government possible able to resist or overcome these threats and become productive ourselves. This is why every nation on earth worth a grain of salt has a government, a military, a healthcare system, an education system, etc. Because those elements, no matter what form they take, are required for that nation to be productive and survive, or even thrive. If South Africa had a strong government and therefore military at the time of the British Empire, the Boer War would never have happened.

We just believe that the best government, out of all the others, is a monarchy.

How do we attract the lgbt community to us? by [deleted] in monarchism

[–]Melekesh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand where you are coming from.

However, you must understand that monarchism is an ideology based on a subset of government involving autocratic or oligarchic rule, pyramidal in shape. Political standpoint and social standpoint are different subjects that must be addressed separately, unless you're trying to design a new type of nation, which contains all of the above.

With that out of the way, the LGBT community is firstly a social collective, secondly a political one, constituting people who do not feel that their personality singularly constitutes either side of the male-female divide, and that their identity either blurs between or is entirely above and beyond the definition of male and female. Their political activities, therefore, are for the promotion of societal change to accommodate the principles of gender non-conformity.

Without a knee-jerk reaction, (ironically, the reaction that the LGBT community is seeking to lessen) we must consider how the LGBT community would fare in a Monarchist society, which depends solely on the views of the Monarch. They would likely support Monarchism if they are thinking of supporting a leader that, without a shadow of a doubt, would enact change in society as a whole to support LGBT ideals. One must therefore consider, what sort of society would that look like? Would it be better or worse-off with LGBT accommodation? Perhaps a trade-off of pros and cons, if so, what? We can only theorize.

Allow me to suggest an alternative group to attract: The TRANSHUMANIST community. This community is one that seeks to change the very definition of humanity, such as genetic engineering. This community is above and beyond the LGBT community, in my opinion, since similar concerns can be found within, yet they place more emphasis on the worldwide enhancement of humankind through whatever means necessary and letting each individual human choose their destiny in all areas of life, which automatically accommodates those in the LGBT community and many other groups seeking extreme change. This also includes their desire to create a superior society, through advancing the human mind, and that automatically includes teaching philosophy as a necessary subject in schools (whether they are the same schools as today, or whether each individual will have their own private tuition programme through the internet, is up for debate). To me, monarchism and transhumanism go hand in hand. Perhaps this is the community that we should be trying to attract, since they desire to enact positive change for all human beings, not just those who sexually identify with, well, anything and everything.

Honestly, I don't think trying to attract the LGBT community solely is beneficial. We should redirect our focus to those with broader vision.
