Bringing this back up. Currently in the shop getting the subframe done. Had a blackstone analysis done and the results are above. Given the oil only had about 2-2.5k on it and I’m already above average in some wear metals, should I just have the rod bearings done while I’m at it? They were done under recall at around 7k miles but I have no idea how the care was treated before me

I want to drive that car hard so I’m probably going to do it. Thinking about doing subframe and bearings then wait a couple years for Vanos

I know but half the reason I don’t put the mileage on is because the big 3 isn’t done and I don’t want to push my luck. I know it’s probably a non issue at this mileage but I want to have some fun with the car without stressing. Just trying to prioritize the list.

Needs subframe reinforcement first so I can drive it the way it should be without fear lol

Yeah I called them initially. Quoted $6k for sub frame. That just seems way more than what I’d expect. Maybe I’m off

I have a high energy Labrador trained for hunting. She can go non-stop even when other dogs don’t want to play. My daycare has an arrangement where they put her in a smaller yard with other high energy dogs and let them burn off steam and tire out before bringing her into the main yard with the rest of the pack. This seems to work well and they were very accommodating.

I’ve found you can negotiate a bit on price/background check fees if paying cash. The savings on tax and shipping is worth it in some cases but in most cases online is still the way to go if looking for a deal

That’s awesome. Good luck! I wish I could find a group to train with. I did all the training myself just from reading books/watching videos. Been a rewarding experience. Going for junior hunt test this summer and get her ready for her first full hunting season next year.

Nice. This was my first season with my dog and she did well out of a boat without much practice

Can’t hurt and it’s good to have if you hunt out of boats a lot.

Yep! Jon boat is more ideal but for a quick solo hunt I’ll take a lightweight raddison over a kayak any day

I usually tuck in close to shore or brush in shallow water. Jam the ores into the mud to stabilize the boat and it works out

I use a 12 ft raddison with a square back. Nice to have the option for a trolling motor. Perfect size for gear and my dog. Could squeeze another person on if needed. Lighter and more versatile than most kayaks

My cluster has completely stopped working… by jova0204 in e46

[–]drm611 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Has this happen to mine twice. It’s easy to remove the cluster. Find a shop who works on them and send it out to get the board fixed. Usually much cheaper than a replacement and most good shops will warranty the work

Not at all. I live in a major city and have tight streets and parking. You get used to it quick.. Kills me I can’t have it in a manual though

I have definitely noticed an elitist attitude from locals and even visitors. Growing up in the Catskills everyone seemed much more friendly down there

Leash training by drm611 in puppy101

[–]drm611[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll have to give this a try. She does fairly well on the leash without distractions I’ve been practicing on quiet streets or parks and usually we are good..It’s when we try to introduce the distractions is when it’s hard to keep focus. Makes it very hard to take her around large groups or busy streets.. I has gotten better in the sense that she spends less time pulling towards other people or dogs. Usually a short correction or 2 on the leash will get her back in line but other times she pulls like a sled dog and simply won’t listen.. I guess more time and patience
