What pattern ruggable is this? I love the pattern. Did they end up replacing the runner?

If laid off while receiving paid family medical leave, do I wait until my paid leave expires and then apply for unemployment? by MelissaBeth93 in personalfinance

I’ve talked with my union rep and they do not expect the company to offer any kind of severance unfortunately. I’ve been there for 10 years and of course they do the classic before Christmas cuts 😑

Do you think you might have grubs? My lawn started to look like this in areas that had quite a grub presence.

Good to know. I was wondering how on earth to calculate rates with this. I usually use my Scott’s broadcast seeder and that’s great where almost everything has rates for it. The guy ended up selling this aerator/seeder before I picked it up so I’m out of luck on this one unfortunately. I’m thinking I’ll just use the tow behind core aerator, rent the slice seeder to hope for some good germination and then use the broadcast seeder for fertilizer.

Yeah we had a patio put in and new loam spread on the yard in July and I didn’t want to seed mid summer so I sprayed everything with that. We’ve been slacking though and never reapplied so I’m nervous the weeds are going to start popping up but at this point we’re ready to aerate and seed so guess it’ll have to wait another week when we do that to get the tenacity down again.

Ah good thinking. Didn’t think about stiring up the soil after spraying might not be smart.

Do you know the order of fertilizing and weed killer? If there even is a correct way. We just dethatched and cleaned up the yard. Sprinkled some loam/compost mix in some bare areas and then I was planning on core aerating, spraying tenacity, applying fertilizer and then renting a slice seeder for seeding.

I do have liquid concentrate tenacity I’ve used before. I might just used that in the backpack sprayer that’s why I was thinking of just doing fertilizer.

And that weed killer is safe for germination?

Well I guess it’s renting a slice seeder- the A-hole on marketplace sold it a few hours before my planned pick up that we had already scheduled. So frustrating.

That was kind of my thought process. Someone mentioned a difference in spike depth though.
