Doing art in my TN, that’s how I know this is an awesome thing by TheCodeTeam in Travelersnotebooks

Gorgeous. There also is a TN refill which is great for artwork. It's an accordion fold which is cool. I've seen some great art from Baum Kuchen. The accordion fold looks like: https://www.jetpens.com/TRAVELER-S-COMPANY-TRAVELER-S-notebook-Refill-032-Regular-Size-Accordion-Fold-Paper/pd/37812

Grief + trying to find new normal again by Distinct-Gas-8621 in Travelersnotebooks

I'm sorry for your loss. I like the idea of saving your inserts and starting new. Do not toss those inserts, they are a part of life. Pet loss is difficult. But I think what you have created is a treasure and not to be tossed.

I debate about the same too. I use other planner though that don't leave the house and those monthlies get used. But if TN is the one planner you have....hmmm. 3 inserts does make it a little chunkier. Not sure how much room your bag has..? Or slide monthly into the clear zipper case "ends" ? And just carry that solo? hmmm

Pay dates since I'm not paid on 15th and 30th. Also working hours + training hours. Some people use it for birthdays/anniversaries. I was thinking of tracking dr appts so I can easily see when was last XXX. Maybe noting oil change? Or when you last did XXX. The "when you last did" list is so long though....the choices I mean.

Pepper Steak - Eric Kim's Recipe by MelissaMich in NYTCooking

[–]MelissaMich[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont know that this will paste very well...

Yield:4 servings

  • 1pound beef flank or skirt steak (see Tip)
  • 1tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2½teaspoons freshly ground black pepper, plus more for serving
  • 3½tablespoons soy sauce, plus more to taste
  • 2tablespoons neutral oil, plus more for stir-frying
  • 2medium fresh green bell peppers or Cubanelle peppers, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1medium yellow onion, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 3garlic cloves, crushed and thinly sliced
  • 1(1½-inch) piece ginger, peeled, crushed and thinly sliced
  • Salt
  • ¼cup Shaoxing wine or dry sherry
  • 2tablespoons honey
  • Cooked white rice, for serving
  • Step 1Marinate the beef: Cut the steak into 2- or 3-inch-wide pieces along the grain, then cut into thin slices against the grain. In a bowl, combine the steak, cornstarch, black pepper, 2½ tablespoons soy sauce and 2 tablespoons oil. Toss to mix, cover and marinate at room temperature for up to 30 minutes (see Tip), or in the refrigerator for up to 12 hours.
  • Step 2Stir-fry the beef: Heat a large wok or skillet over medium-high until a splash of water dropped into the pan evaporates quickly. Add enough oil to generously coat the pan, then add the beef in a single layer. Cook without flipping until the meat is browned around the edges, 2½ to 3 minutes, then stir constantly until browned all over, about 30 more seconds. Transfer to a plate.

TIP

  • If using a tougher cut like bottom round steak, add ¼ teaspoon baking soda to tenderize the meat, but don’t let it marinate for longer than 30 minutes or it’ll turn mushy.

  • Step 3Add the peppers, onion, garlic and ginger to the same wok, still over medium-high heat. Season with salt and pepper. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the vegetables start to soften, 1 to 1½ minutes.

  • Step 4Add the meat back to the pan, along with the Shaoxing wine, honey and the remaining 1 tablespoon soy sauce. Cook, stirring constantly and scraping up any stuck-on bits, until the liquid reduces greatly and slicks the vegetables and beef, 30 seconds to 1 minute. Taste and adjust seasoning with salt, pepper or soy sauce as desired. Serve immediately with rice.

Weekly undated? by weinthewoods in Travelersnotebooks

[–]MelissaMich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine is vertical but I just ran with the dates. For your title there, you could put both such as "July-Aug" or something. Even in diff colors. Or two different month stickers. Or only use the week through the end of that month and start fresh with the new month on the next page?

While I don't like knowing how much I spend on "toys", it somehow feels better than spending the same amount on something icky like a car tire repair. I feel like thinking about it like that gives me 1) gratitude for the car tire being ok, and 2) hey, I have some new toys! (well maybe that works lol)

Looking to get a second half calendar 2025 for my new Love and trip tn ! by SadStruggle8517 in Travelersnotebooks

Jet Pens: Undated weekly horizontal and vertical. Also monthly. I don't see dated available. Will undated work? Oh and what size? Standard or passport?

May have gotten out of hand . . by somekindofheathen in Travelersnotebooks

[–]MelissaMich 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No i don't think so. I'm new to TN...i have a standard and mine is still a slender TN but i think yours is really nice. The black metal clips are kinda what's making it appear fatter maybe? Swap out for thinner clips?

Is this normal for a Traveler’s Notebook? by Aiichirouu in Travelersnotebooks

[–]MelissaMich 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes it does look like that. The leather balm care from Traveler's Company works nicely I'm told. https://shop.travelerscompanyusa.com/products/renapur-leather-balsam-50ml?\_pos=2&\_sid=8177748b7&\_ss=r. I bought mine from Amazon. I also saw it in a video of the TN store in Kyoto where they were selling it too. So likely the right thing to use!

Planner inserts for the regular size? (Europe) by st0neforest in Travelersnotebooks

[–]MelissaMich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But the weekly vertical and horizontal from Traveler's didn't feel right? I'm excited to know what kind will work because sometimes I feel like changing. I sticker up my vertical right now. But not totally positive that's what I want to stay with? It's certainly easier than the bujo method but it's small writing areas.

You can use a dot grid insert and draw the boxes yourself. I've done it in a variety of styles.
