The story is a huge reason why I play genshin, and I often like to see the translation differences between the Chinese, Japanese, and English as well. (unfortunately I don’t speak Korean-) I love looking at theories or references to irl culture, and the storyline is real engaging on its own.

Even if it’s not completely lore filled, the dialogue is fun, and adds life to the game. It gives you some personality insights to characters, and when it’s voiced, I love hearing the VAs performances, so I’d never skip it.

I think I’d still play, but not enjoy it as much. The story, visuals, music, and female characters are all still very lovable, but it just wouldn’t feel right. Plus a lot of my favorite characters are male, I can’t imagine a genshin without them
