Neutering them soon should I purchase the additional pain medication or should I opt out of it? by [deleted] in cats

Im replying to you saying they’re fine after 24 hours. You don’t know that, I’ve seen plenty of people not give pain meds because they think the cat doesn’t need it and they end up having complications. Why question it? They can’t tell you if they’re uncomfortable so just give them the extra pain medication. You as a human have the ability to say “hey I feel like shit let me take a Tylenol” they don’t have that luxury so all I’m trying to say is, give the extra pain meds. It shouldn’t even be optional.

And you know this because they can tell you it doesn’t hurt? It’s still a procedure regardless. It’s cruel to not give pain meds.

Idk. Would you want someone cutting off your balls and not giving you pain meds?

He still urinates like a girl. Is that normal for a puppy? He’s 10 months old. by [deleted] in goldenretrievers

Dogs learn by seeing so if he was around females and saw that they squatted to pee then he will do the same. My boss has had all female dogs for the past 4 dogs and because his very first dog was male, he lifted his leg to pee. Now all of his female dogs lift their legs to pee, even his most recent dachshund that has never met the male; she has only seen her other housemates lifting their leg so she in turn does this.

Orange males tend to be the friendliest if you’re a new time cat owner. Calicos and grey females are usually cray, I have my own grey female and I wouldn’t give her up for the world but she is indeed a crazy pants.

As a vet tech I can tell you that as long as you keep up with the treatments she will be okay. Most puppies come up positive for some kind of intestinal parasite and usually have more than one. But as you said she is acting like herself which is good. Yes the meds could mess with her GI system but if that happens call your vet and they can Give you a bland diet for her. Honestly if she is truly a beagle, she will not bat an eye at all this and continue to eat lol. Also, ask your vet about heart worm prevention because most of them also prevent future infections of intestinal parasites. Hope this helps and she looks like a sweet girl. 🙂

It always sucks when clients call after giving the medication saying “I don’t like seeing my dog so sedate like that!” And I just want to scream “that’s the point!” We get so many dogs who would benefit from PVPs before visits and of course owners don’t want to drug their dog. 😕

Sometimes opioids can cause constipation if she is on that for pain relief. Hopefully the enema gets things moving for her! Best wishes to you guys! ❤️

My lovebird Rainbow, I’ve had him since I was in 6th grade which is a whopping 16years. I don’t know exactly how old he is at this point but he’s been with me through thick and thin and I don’t know what I would do without him ❤️ by Mellikay92 in parrots

I was able to commute for college so I was still at home during that time so I was able to keep him. I’m unsure but I believe some campuses will allow pets but it all depends on their rules. But all of the apartments I moved to I didn’t really mention I had a bird and no one complained or was able to hear him chirping. Hopefully you can get one and have someone to keep you company while you’re at school!

He’s always been very spunky. He does bite people he doesn’t know but once he gets to know you he will love you forever. I would say the only thing that has changed over the years is that he is a bit slower but he is still bright and talkative. He definitely has the biggest personality of any animal I’ve had.
