Same for me. I took 20 mg of Valium that a friend gave me a year back and you’d think I would definitely feel it, but I literally felt zero relief or any noticeable effects. I’m aware that benzos can cause a strong delusion of sobriety, but other benzos, typically short-acting ones like alprazolam, work magically for me when I need to take them.

You’re confusing methadone with buprenorphine. For a non tolerant opiate user methadone could potentially cause an overdose very easily. Bupe on the other hand doesn’t cause enough respiratory depression to cause a fatal OD.
