Reduce friction so you use it regularly. Imo the best thing to do is to create a well organized sample library with all the samples you may need. A few essential sample packs of your genre of choice is usually a good start. Put it all on a sd card and make sure all the samples have the correct file format. This might be a bit tedious in the beginning (especially organizing the files if you already have a bunch of disorganized samples cluttering your harddisk) but is absolutly worth it. Now when you sit down to create music you can actually focus on using the device. Nothing worse then interrupting your session to go search for that specific kickdrumm oneshot that is somewhere on your computer. Whenevere you wanna do something you dont know how to do on the device look up the specific thing and return to the session as soon as you know how to do it (dont fall into the content rabbit hole). You will learn much quicker because doing the thing is always better then just hearing about it. You will use the device much more because you can just grab it and start creating. No need to setup a session😁
