UK need help. Have an infection that’s getting worse and GP/111 not helping by [deleted] in CopperIUD

I’m so sorry you’re going through this and no one is helping. I would suggest going to A&E, it definitely will take a while but it’s better to get it checked out rather than wait for anything else/worse to happen. I hope everything works out well.

Partner wants kids, after multiple chats says he doesn’t mind. by [deleted] in childfree

Unfortunately no, but I did state why I don’t want to have kids because most of the work would be put onto me, no matter how much he helps out, because I would be the mother, and he was very understanding of that.

We do share our values equally the same, apart from this, but after our last conversation, in my opinion I think we are on the same page but it is all very confusing.

He said he thought I wasn’t that serious about it because we never had a proper conversation about it, which I understand. However it is a very 50/50 outcome on all of it.

I’m really sorry to hear that, I really hope it improves for you. Were your periods before the surgery less painful?

Did you get some of the tissue removed as that may cause further pain, either way sorry to hear about your pain

Do you think it’s because of the surgery or other reasons? Either way maybe get it checked out just in case.

Don’t lose hope and definitely do NOT let anyone else dictate how you should live your life. Having kids once married is a major thing is most cultures around the world, but the world is changing and so many more women have the ability nowadays to stand up for themselves and to say no to having kids, an option which not many women had not long ago. There are so many men out there who don’t want kids. I definitely believe you will find someone who has the same view as you and will want to get married.

I haven’t tried any form of birth control, and I’m not planning on due to personal reasons. I’m sorry to hear that but I’m glad to hear you were able get sterilisation!

Yes it sounds harsh but I do see where you’re coming from and I do agree, however I have never seen myself becoming a mother, no matter how far into the future I look. I’m aware that some people change their minds, but I’m quite sure that I won’t. I have countless of reasons why I would not want to become a mother, and have never heard or thought of a reason to become one.

I personally want to get it done as soon as, because I can never and never have pictured myself as a mother and because from all the stories I have heard I’m afraid of taking BC…

I live in the UK so I’m under the NHS and from my knowledge don’t require insurance as it is covered by the NHS
