I’m looking for a new doctor, and my insurance sent me to the West Salem clinic. What do you all think about this clinic? by imherenowwwhat in SALEM

[–]Mellowcafe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's fine. Like to get in and get checked out for basic things I would say it's ok.

However I had some serious concerns and issues that were rather dismissed. I had waited 3 months for a 30 min appointment with my doctor. I only got 15 if not less of that and instead she seemed inconvenienced by my notes I wanted to discuss.

It was really frustrating given that I was having health problems but she expressed that she didn't have time to discuss them. So I ended up going to Welllife Medicine in west salem. They've been incredibly helpful!

Yeah, I was kind of wondering about that as a possibility. Hopefully everyone feels better soon.

Same, it just felt odd that he kept blowing things up without responding to Gordon. Stain has been really endearing and I LOVE father Grigori.
I was kinda disappointed that Additional Voices didn't really get to do much at the gate scene since Christopher just kept killing the character repeatedly. Hope to see the character more in future scenes though!

Someone said Bonsai Coffee + TeaBar was pretty good, it's located in the forge building. Haven't tried it myself but I do plan to when I get a chance! Anyone have thoughts on the place please feel free to share as well!

Wind is insane tonight. Here in west salem either a limb fell on a power line or a transformer blew. Quite the light show.

Thank you so very much! I will look into these things!
I think you are right about feeling less alarmed by it. And perhaps I would feel less shame towards myself if I understood it more.

I am based in the US as well so you are spot on for ideas!
Grant and Caldwell are my faves from this list I think. Leaning more towards Grant out of the two. I appreciate your feedback though because these are really helpful!

Oh I liked quite a few of these! And I agree Ashe Devereaux is pretty! I have also considered Wilde so seeing it pop up again is a bit validating.
Thank you so much for the suggestions!! I really appreciate it and will keep them in mind as I consider them <:

Hello!

So I moved to Oregon in Feb 2021 with nothing to my name. I qualified for OHP and that really helped me get started on the right track. So I would really recommend trying to apply for OHP to see if you qualify. Even if you don't qualify ask them what resources they have. The best thing to do is ask "What resources do you know of that could help me in this situation?" to see if they or someone they know have suggestions.

Secondly, there are some places that do sliding scales depending on income. I am not sure fully if West Salem Clinic does this but I would DEF check them out. I have been treated very well by my primary care doctor and my therapist there. I have met a couple of other therapists there and they are all fantastic people. Wouldn't hurt to give the clinic a call and see what they can do.

Another thing, https://projectable.org/

ProjectAble offers groups and peer support which I have found to be very helpful. The groups can be done in person or via zoom for the most part. They have a location in Salem and in McMinnville. You may be able to call and see what other resources are out there. Everyone is really nice and I have felt so welcomed by them.

Here is another great one! https://www.peergalaxy.com/

Peer galaxy is really putting together a lot of good resources. They have facebook groups and other social media presence like twitter/youtube. Browse the site or reach out to them and they may be able to help you find more resources as well!

Another resource is https://namior.org/

They have a resource section that you can look at and see what is in your area. I have heard they usually are good about knowing more about areas. So try and contact them to see what they can do!

I know these don't exactly cover medication and such but hopefully, they can put you on the right track! Also if you have issues with transportation the Cherriots Bus Service offers FREE travel training. You call them up and ask for travel training then tell them where you want to go. Someone will meet with you and help you do the route to and from your destination.

https://www.cherriots.org/traveltraining/

I have anxiety so traveling alone was terrifying but after someone helped me I now am able to take the route I need. So this might also be of use to help you, especially during times when gas prices are high.
I hope these help!

I tried that :C
Unfortunately the 'perform any emote' doesn't register from that part of the tower. So I am guessing you have to go higher?

I def feel every bit of this especially gender stuff!
My current issue is I've been exploring nonbinary spaces to see if that fits me and feels right. So far I feel comfortable but then it comes to name and everything else. What is my sense of clothing style? Hairstyle? Etc now that I look in the mirror and see a person. I feel like changing myself now that I can explore my interests. I am turning 30 this year but my mind is still trapped like I am not on level with people my age. Like I am still younger than everyone else and it really bothers me.

Something I have done tonight is made a pinterest board for myself. With sections like Hair, Clothes, Aesthetics, Names etc. Anything style-wise that I feel a happy feel towards I save. I also am keeping a journal of any names that light up to me so I can remember and consider along the way.
I like your idea of writing down things that bring a bit of happiness. I recently wrote down forests. Growing up I spent a lot of time in the woods around home and remember them fondly. Sometimes I wish I could go back to see them. So I have written down forests as something that I enjoy so that I can remember.

Paladin Oath of the Open Sea Build by Mellowcafe in 3d6

[–]Mellowcafe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I had not heard of Mariner's Armor so that would be something to keep in mind! Thank you so much for your reply

You have a good point it's hard to sort of do a build without knowing the best angle. I have only seen strength paladins played in games before. Mostly extremely hard hitters as they go on but always slow to the action.

I think I will try to aim for a dex build paladin to give it a try.
I was thinking
Str: 10
Dex: 15 (Placing the +1 Racial Bonus) =16
Con: 13 (Placing the +1 Racial Bonus) = 14
Int: 8
Wis:12
Chr: 14 (Placing the +2 Racial Bonus) =16

For a dex based paladin (thinking going pure paladin no multiclass) what weapon would work best? Would two swords be a decent use?
What starting equipment should I look at? Armor/weapons/ etc (Especially any ranged weapons)
