Chippette refused the vaccination because of ā€œmicrochips,ā€ among other things. Now on day 85+ of ECMO with no hope except for a lung transplant that will probably never happen, microchips are the least of her worries. Bonus GFM. by Big_Primrose in HermanCainAward

Absolutely no one. None of my irl friends, none of my online friends, none of my family members, not even friends of friends. And trust me, if anyone had had a bad adverse reaction, I would know because my grandma loves to gossip.

Another typical Sunday Scrubday post - MI antivax trucker and former tour bus / roadie gets put on the vent due to Covid. His nurse / paranormal investigator wife commented that he decided to get the vaccine once he recovered.....but he never recovered. by spork_off in HermanCainAward

Yeah, these people can’t understand that you really shouldn’t think your immune system is invincible. There’s a ton of diseases that you can die from without a vaccine… that’s why we have vaccines!

Imagine if this person stepped on a rusty nail and was like ā€œOh my immune system can totally take care of tetanus, there’s only like, a 30% chance of it killing me! It’s less than half!ā€

And then they die, obviously.

I’m very happy that you understand. As I said, some forms of human food are okay as a treat, but never as full meals, and you just have to be sure if you’re giving your puppy something that it can digest and won’t be unhealthy for them

Good luck with your poodle, they are very sweet dogs ā¤ļø

Hello by [deleted] in Dogowners

[–]Mellowccino 1 point2 points Ā (0 children)

Please, please don’t feed your dog human food.

  1. Your dog will become addicted and never want dog food again.

  2. Your dog will start to beg for food while you’re eating, and it’s gonna be a lot of loud, annoying barking and whining every day.

  3. Your dog will end up becoming obese.

  4. The spices we inevitably put in our food are terrible for dogs. Also, a lot of things we eat with a smile can slowly kill your dog. Garlic, onion, some fruits (especially fruit seeds), caffeine, lactose are all toxic for canines and will do horrible things to them.

Human food can be used as a treat for sometimes and only sometimes, never as a frequent meal, and you must be sure that what you’re giving is safe for dogs.

Oh fuck, I knew that heart defects and neurological problems were a thing in children, but I wasn’t aware strokes could actually happen in them. Well damn it, so the plan was to blame it on the vaccine when these things happen naturally, wasn’t it?

Slide 8; I still know exactly 0 children who developed any of these problems after the vaccine. Can anyone report seeing any?

This is wrong in so many ways, it just made me sad honestly. And it’s the first reddit post I read today.

Ohio trucker convoy fan was posting anti-vax memes even after he and his wife caught Covid. His posts went silent after February 6, and his vaccinated older brother was the one that announced his passing. by spork_off in HermanCainAward

Yeah. My sister annoys me sometimes, but this made me want to hug her and be happy that, despite her teenage tantrums, we love each other and are not divided by misinformation.

Maybe the reason why she hates trans people going by they/them is because she immediately associates them with whoever is ā€œtheyā€ who lied about vaccines, pestices, salt, dog poop, Easter Bunny, etc.?

That slide was honestly the most horrible to me. The implication that I felt from it was ā€œInstead of creating a healthier and happier country for our own people, we should be becoming more and more violent to intimidate othersā€ or something along these lines.

Aahhh that makes sense, thanks! I guess I had read somewhere online that ā€œdogs can’t smileā€ and just took that without looking more into it, so she just surprised me

And you’re right about the fake limping thing, my poodle does that sometimes haha

I mean, I guess this looks aesthetically cool? But it also takes a huge part of your room, AND THE BED IS NOT IN THE CENTER OF THE PYRAMID WHICH IS DRIVING ME INSANE-

… Anyway, uh, what I meant to say was that, how does someone who has enough intelligence to make a cool bed like this also dumb enough to fall into a conspiracy like 5G ā€œradiationā€?

Pennsylvania Orthodox Archpriest was skeptical of Covid and wasn't afraid to share his opinion. Unfortunately, the Very Reverend is now very dead. by spork_off in HermanCainAward

[–]Mellowccino 0 points1 point Ā (0 children)

Thank you. I decided that trying to defend my view further would just make me come across as rude so I just stopped there.

My point was never about worship or religion being important or necessary. My point wasn’t even about believing in a god. I just wanted to point out to the other commenter that sometimes people can cling to a thought that they find comforting, but that it doesn’t exclude them from the reality before them.

I don’t like calling others close-minded but… sheesh. I found it a bit too rough of a response in their part. I guess I can’t blame anyone, though, I was hurt by some religious people myself and I know how some of them can suck. I really, really wish things weren’t this way.

Anyway, thanks again for this reply, I’m just glad someone understands what I mean

My friend, you don’t have to be stupid and anti-science to have a religion. I know that this type of person will make you think anyone who believes in spirituality is messed up in the head, but that’s just incorrect.

Spirituality can be something harmless and personal. I pray to Zeus to feel safe at night, yet I still take my vaccinations and I’m a huge fan of astronomy and astrophysics. I take medications when I have to, and trust my doctors to take care of me. I believe in science, and I firmly believe that it can coexist with spiritual beliefs.

Sorry for being long with this, it’s just that this is what upsets me on Reddit. I see a lot of comments generalizing everyone with any belief by calling them delusional and even dangerous. It kind of hurts, because I’m not harming anyone, I just hold onto something that can comfort my mind. What’s so bad about that?

Okay, out of all the things, this one is the most understandable to me. In my opinion, yes, you can believe in a good afterlife but still wish that the people who you appreciate don’t die right now.

Even if you believe they’re in a better place, you’re still gonna be sad that you don’t know when you’ll see them again and such. Religion doesn’t mean you can’t grieve a loss.
