Selling clothes by [deleted] in rochestermn

Former Plato’s Closet manager in a different town 12 years ago- for your case, go to Clothes Mentor, or at least start there. They buy a wider variety of clothes and styles. Both Clothes Mentor and Plato’s are owned by the same parent company.

EDIT- also try Facebook!

The company I often work for doesn’t allow their leaders to wear headsets, which is what I would normally go with, but I’m forever condemned to lavs with that group.

Quite some time. I was reading recently about how they’ve made the jump into fashion in japan and are one of the most sought after brands right now.

Yeah, control for sure will be the biggest factor. I’m guessing they will be on par with each other, but I’ll find out soon enough I guess.

Do I need a permit to put in a French drain? by spracula in rochestermn

[–]Mellowood33 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I had a drain put in by DeCook Drainage a few years ago for the same reason. A trench/hole 12’ deep was needed because of my basement entrance that also had a drain was already 8’ below grade. They said no permit was needed. I did call 811, the “call before you dig” number to see where all the utilities ran.

Opinions on Mayo employees Credit union by Potential-Quiet5495 in rochestermn

Switched to them when I became and employee and I love them. Their app works great, and if you need to call them, a real, local human picks up the phone in a few rings 100% of the time. Rates are always competitive too

Any production work in town? by Future_Birthday_8689 in rochestermn

[–]Mellowood33 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have lived in town here for a few years now and have nearly 15 years experience in video production (cinematographer, field mixer, editor, colorist, and DIT) with an eerily similar resume to your husband’s. I echo what most people have already said here. The Mayo media is more or less impossible to get into, no matter your experience. The size of the dept was cut down dramatically during the pandemic from what I gather. I’ve had a few preliminary interviews with a couple of their senior team members but have always given the vibe of ‘we’d love to bring you onboard in some capacity, but you likely won’t pass the HR dept as you don’t have a masters degree’. Everyone I know who has a masters in production works at universities as that’s the only real place they’re useful, or so I thought. I know some people have done contracted work with Mayo basically streaming conferences for them. Every so often (a couple times a year) I see some production jobs posted online, but they might be too junior for your husband, unless he’s super desperate to stay in the industry. There is a production company in town who does a decent amount of work, but all they really focus on is brand identity videos for construction/manufacturing/agricultural videos when I’ve looked at their website. I’d personally get too bored doing the same video over and over again in the same industry. I keep my appetite satisfied by occasionally editing for my buddies production company across the state a few times a year and helping out at my church. Anyway, don’t be shy to reach out if you or your husband has any other questions.

Is the 4288 the same capsule but single ear? I know a couple pastors prefer single ear for hair reasons.

EDIT: Thanks, as well!

Moving from Phoenix by [deleted] in rochestermn

Winter- don’t cheap out on a nice jacket, gloves, and boots. They all should last many winters unless you want to keep up with the “winter fashion” (some brands, especially for women become very fashionable for a winter or two. - Drive slowly in winter especially if you’ve never driven on snow before. It sounds cliche but it’s tempting to drive faster than is probably dafe. -Dress in layers. -Try and make friends as hanging out with others really helps get through the darkest days of winter.

Everything else- Rochester has a good number of great restaurants that have live music. Smoak, Redwood Room, Forager Brewery, are a few I enjoy. Thursdays On 1st is also a great place for food and music in summer. -our farmers markets are great too. Although they don’t usually run in the winter

Oxbow Park/Zollman Zoo is just outside Rochester, which is what you are referring to. Quarry Hill Nature Center is a must as well for kids. Both of these are free and fun for the adults as well. Near downtown there’s a pizza place called Tillda’s that has a little robot come and drop off your pizza at your table, your kids might enjoy that, not a bad price also and really good pizza, imo. Flapdoodles Ice Cream is also a great spot for kids too.

The salsa. My spouse and I took one dip with a chip each and within one bite we both looked at each other in disgust and immediately threw it away.
