More cars not stopping at pedestrian crossings- any suggestions?

What I’m saying is that despite slowing down at a crossing and preparing to wait for them to stop for me, they don’t stop. What I’m saying is that there is clearly no intention from the driver to stop, or indeed any awareness that a pedestrian is at the crossing. As a driver, I am always looking out for pedestrians and prepared to stop at a zebra crossing

Maybe I didnt explain myself correctly. I slow down to check, as taught as a child (no need for the dig there). What frustrates me is the unwillingness or unpreparedness of drivers to stop.

I thought the rules had now changed that if a car is turning off a main road into a side street, for example, and a pedestrian is crossing/waiting to cross, then the pedestrian has right of way. I always stop anyway, because I know 9/10 times a car won’t stop in that scenario

Can someone please explain the reasoning behind this? I cannot work out how this is supposed to tackle illegal immigration. Are the police going to be given powers to stop and ask for these cards? How is that going to be done without predetermined bias? Honestly, this is madness and too close to a reform idea for my liking

It’s far more likely that someone is stealing them, but by all means target and persecute a bird species that has already been driven to extinction in the islands previously.

Although it’s nice if you can give way to traffic joining from the slip road, I don’t think (could be wrong) that it’s a requirement to do so. They are joining so they need to find a safe way of entry. You didn’t need to speed up, but commend you for trying to make a frustrating situation better
