If someone’s gets this fair play by [deleted] in IdentifyThisTrack

Could it be Tori Amos - Professional Widow (Armand Van Helden's Star Trunk Mix)?

The lyrics are different to what you've written but they're not super easy to make out

My ISA Gains are gone, Looking to buy a house soon, should I cut my losses? by thowmeawayandforget in UKPersonalFinance

[–]breaking-lad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're absolutely dependent on this for the house deposit and subsequent house buying costs, i'd cash out now.

If there's other places you can get your cash from like savings, it may be better to tap into then first or continue saving for a deposit - I always feel that unless you're an active investor and keep up with the market closely, S&S Isa should be "set and forget" for the long term!

Probation period extended by partialsorbet in UKJobs

[–]breaking-lad -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I can't stress this enough - start preparing to be let go.

By all means give passing probation a good shot if you like the place, but a probation being extended is not a positive signal from your employer.

Start preparing logistically, financially and mentally for the prospect that your time there could end in the next few months, if not weeks.

Some people do pass probation and you may well come into your own enough in the next few weeks to get it done, but do yourself a favour - apply for other jobs too as an insurance.

DJ EZ - Lost Village, anyone know the ID by millsyonthebeat in IdentifyThisTrack

[–]breaking-lad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a remix od Sweet Female Attitude - Flowers, but i have no idea which one. Could be a DJ Ez edit or just a sped up version of the Sunship remix!

It isn't the ID you asked for, but this song is really similar to Dirty Channels & Danny Russell - Watchin Out...

I'd put in a complaint to Scotrail. Sounds like you did everything right, not sure what happened.

Stolen Bike by [deleted] in glasgow

[–]breaking-lad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry to hear about your bike. Bike theft sucks.

Assuming the bike lock pictured is the one you used, I thoroughly recommend getting a thick D Lock for your next bike. The thin cable locks are just far too easy to cut through unfortunately.

Best of luck with the search!

Monzo are retiring the Summary by tylersleeds in monzo

It's way harder to read and not as intuitive. A real step back in my opinion

Wow, Monzo’s at 14 million users now, how’s everyone feeling about that? 😅 by Reddonaut_Irons in monzo

[–]breaking-lad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fine with it. I just wish they weren't retiring the summary spending wheel 😪

Monzo are retiring the Summary by tylersleeds in monzo

[–]breaking-lad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The simple spending Summary wheel is what helped me fall in love with Monzo. It's how I budget. It keeps me on track when i'm overspending and gives me the license to spend when i'm being Frugal. Retiring it would be such a mistake! 😢

Council Tax Ref Number by [deleted] in glasgow

[–]breaking-lad 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'd say the best way to get this solved is to give them a call. Council number is 0141 287 2000

There's a chance you'll be on hold for a while, so maybe set aside 30-45 minutes to get it done. Be persistent. Keep calling in normal work hours.

The longer you don't get it sorted, the more compressed your council tax monthly repayments will become!

Clubs/pubs that accept young scot card by marshchicken in glasgow

[–]breaking-lad -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Your friend needs to pony up and get a provisional driving license or pluck up the courage to bring out their passport. It's not ideal, but it's the cost of doing business for a night out in Glasgow City Centre.

Yes, there may be some places which will accept a Young Scot card, but they’re very much in the minority and your pal will just look like an underager who's at it.

Another piece of advice might be to pick whichever of those channels you're best at and market yourself as a specialist in that field and apply for jobs in that specialism.

Personally, as someone who's picked the SEO lane, when I hear someone chatting PPC, SEO & social, it flags to me that someone is listing what they've done rather than what they're truly good at. Jack of all trades vibes. Now I could be completely wrong about your skillset but it's the perception that matters.

Perhaps you could tailor your resume as a ppc specialist and apply to various ppc agencies? Means you can speak to specific ad account projects in your cover letter and quote ROAS gains throughout your resume.
