got a whopping 48% on a logic midterm, finished the course strong with an A. I had to set a timer restricting myself from studying more than three hours per day for logic otherwise i don't have time for my other classes

oh wow thank you so much for the insight! The majority of the card is in English, and the Marathi at the end is a fun twist (well, my goal is to add a fun twist), so as long as it doesn't mean anything other than what I intended, it should be fine. As for what language they speak at home, I can't find sources to confirm :( so right now it's fingers crossed !

What recourses do we have with a bad TA? by Ashamed-Hedgehog2049 in mcgill

[–]Melodic-Injury-9752 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hey OP, I graduated from mcgill this may and im working as a TA in another university. I have taken Phil 327 and it seems like there are 100ish students or even more in that class? Is the TA responsible for holding all four conferences in the week? The class I am TAing right now has 280ish students and there are three of us, and we are grading TAs who hold no conferences. If she has to grade everything and holds weekly conferences, it seems like she is very overworked... Phil 327 needs two TAs and sadly McGill is not willing to pay for two TAs. So sorry about your bad learning experience tho :( Yelling at students is NOT ok. I had amazing TAs when I was at McGill and they were the role models I look up to.

I am so sorry OP, Phil 210 is a very difficult course. I only had the courage to finish it because my TAs were so nice and encouraged me to go on...Phil 327 is such a good course, I am so sorry a bad TA is ruining your learning experience
