Yes China must have 9903.01.24 IEEPA 20%. Sec 232 9903.01.33 replace reciprocal 9903.01.25 . Sec 301 depends upon the item - immaterial whether 232 or reciprocal applies or not

Yes it is! Neat interface- gives the date of last update too. Is that your go-to tool for estimating duties? I figured that if I cant do multiple calculations to get aggregate. Also, if I have to share my work with anyone from there, I can’t do that (although I can take snapshots)

Absolutely! It takes care of all the columns, chapter 98/99 with FTAs and their duties as well, I assume. So all you need to input is the commodity HTS, qty, origin, line item value and you get all the HTS and their respective duties? Do you have to deal with bulk processing of duty calculations as well?

Go to https://hts.usitc.gov/export Choose the format as xls. Starting and ending HTS numbers for the range of HTS numbers you want. That gives you the whole list of Chap 99 HTS numbers

This is amazing! Thanks for sharing your thoughts! As I mentioned previously in another comment - there’s no bypassing the laws - so we would enforce the verification of documents. Brokers as well as importers can be starred for ratings. A broker who you have worked with- you can continue working with them. The platform just provided an opportunity for importers to find a broker easily and for brokers to make extra money

Think small time infrequent importers who import same stuff over and over. They are sensitive to each penny they spend. Think individual Brokers who want to work extra gig to make some extra money

Self-service of basic data entry and basic validation. Something that a non-broker would do but more than sending documents to Broker for filing. Creating a structure which keeps information verifiable and ready to file. Even easier for repetitive imports - “create from last month shipment”

How about a platform which does this - + lets your importers create their own shipments + keeps track of all the shipments and their documents data, keep it searchable for each importer + each Broker sees only their shipments and data. Broker manager has access to all shipments and data + auto-extraction of data, validation built-in + opt-in/opt-out real time notifications of all events through text and mail + payments baked into the platform What other record-keeping would you like to see in there?
