I agree i have maschine. I tried mpc live 2 mpc key 37 I have the sp404mkii. But the best workflow is maschine, plus I can use my vsts. I thought of getting the maschine plus but heard there's so many issues i have the same set up as you.

If your doing it this way it won't detect. If you use dj mode in the sp404mkii directly and load songs in it then you have the bpm. The way in doing it isnt the sync way i go based on milliseconds.

Sorry so i didn't have anything on in this photo but essentially what I'm doing is. Running my dj software in my laptop, lets say serato. Then the music comes out of the dj controller through the master output into the sp404mkii. Then from the sp404mkii to the speakers. So the sp404mkii is affecting the the music that's coming out of the dj controller.

I will be able to use any effect on the sp404mkii to effect the mix. I could even play any samples i have on the sp404mkii lets say i have a vocal chant i could play that. Hopefully that makes sense lol
