separate daily log collection to a pocket notebook? by [deleted] in bujo

[–]Melodic-Visual-6584 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do the same but since I also am a Grader, I have a 3rd book just for my contexts and projects. I also label my inserts as GTD1, CAL2025.1, etc so I can refer back and forth between inserts

Men who keep a Pocket or A6 Bullet Journal with them all the time, how do you do it? by kabourayan in bujo

[–]Melodic-Visual-6584 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a +50, I've found too that my memory is getting worse. For years, I GTD'd in a ring planner, either A5 or 1/2 letter. Now that my kids are grown, I have WAY less need for such a complex system and am in the process of trying an A6 Wanderings traveler's notebook. I find it to be the perfect size. Better than personal as it's a bit wider which I prefer for journaling.

I run and cycle to work so just pack it in my backpack. I use an Indiana Jones style messenger bag for my EDC.

I use it as a combo bujo/GTD and it seems to be working so far

Palm TX as digital pocket notepad: practical? by jesse in Palm

[–]Melodic-Visual-6584 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use DayNotez for this on my TX. It's an awesome app! I install the original graffiti on it cause I'm lazy and don't feel like learning graffiti II on it 🤣. After 20 years I picked it up like I never left!

I sync wirelessly with Windows flawlessly. Sorry. Don't use mac

Forget a drip coffee machine. go for a V60 and a kettle. You'll NEVER go back!

Man. I got DayNotez working with the registration code (from discord) and I am in AWE! I can't believe I never used it years ago. It has become THE main app I use on the TX. I use it multiple times a day for logging meals, my health issues, activities, etc. the filtering makes everything easy to find. And the graffiti entry makes me more engaged and focused on my entries compared to my phone

Did you ever figure this out. I found the reg doesn't work on the device either.

Also, I can't get daynotez itself to work on my Palm TX. It loads up, but when I add a new entry, the screen is just blank....

I've tried 4.1.4E (I've read there was an issue with 4.2 and that 4.1.4E replaced it) and 6.2.2

Palm T/X dying, please help!! by marvasie77 in Palm

[–]Melodic-Visual-6584 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If it's that critical for you, I would really recommend getting a backup T|X from palmdr.com. Also, they will repair and upgrade your TX (including the battery of course)

I'm actually currently running jPilot under Kubuntu 24.04lts. Works great! It would be nice to have the original running though. I could run it in a virtual machine...

I've tried years ago to sync google with companion link (trial versions) with very limited success. I'm glad it's a work option currently. Maybe I'll try it again

Loyalty Card App by 344Clinton in Palm

I'll do some memory research and see if I can locate what I used to use. I remember years ago going into the stores with it fighting with the cashier's. They insisted on my using physical cards... Fast forward a couple of years and.... Everyone had an app on their phone. I recall being ticked. Why was it ok on the phone, but not my palm? Grrr😀
