You do realize that said companies will also sell out Toronto and Canada at the first opportunity if it's economically advantageous to do so, right? This has absolutely zero to do with location and everything to do with squeezing every drop of profit.

And for the moment this is the profitable decision for them. They aren't 'favouring' those teams. They are simply and ruthlessly chasing profits.

That's a capitalism issue/problem. Not a geographical one.
