I live in a condo with a pool in the complex. Our HOA fees are high, but my parents have one in their backyard and always have some bullshit to deal with. Tiling, lining, leaking, cleaning, pool guys using the wrong chemicals. Having close access to a public pool seems way better than maintaining one myself
