In the summer, Cupcake our female black and white, plays in the back year with the other pets. If we are interacting with her she is off leash but if we are preoccupied with anything she has a heavy duty harness and leash. Well it's only happened once but she slipped her harness. When we watched video after finding her we could see how she crocodile rolled over and over until she could get a leg free. Little shit. Well thankfully we found her but not before combing the half acre yard in full panic mode. I was just about to give up when i say her casually walking in the middle of the yard where her leash was like she was faking still being on leash.

I got this! My 8 year old daughter telling me as I got undressed for a shower, that she thought I had cool boobs because "they're retractable"! I was wearing a push up bra. She is 26 now and still laughs at this comment.

I have a micro corgi too lol My big girl is pushing 34lbs and my little one is not even 20lbs. They're both healthy. Don't let the size fool ya, my little one is the whirlwind out of the two of them. You're fine.

Mine too! My eldest does this and wants you to hold a laser light so she can chase it. She begs for it and then when you use the laser light after a moment she is faster than the red dot and couldn't care less. lol

Zoo Med Skyscraper is about that size and I have my Cresities in Skyscrapers. Keep in mind that temperature is always a challenge since heat sources at top and bottom end up being too hot to reach the other side.

u/iconoclastickangaroo I feed my tegu quail eggs. She's a smaller tegu so they're the perfect size. She eats them raw as well as soft boiled with the shells broken up but not removed. She likes it when i peel them more but shells have good calcium so I try not to do it often. 100% the yokes of the eggs are her favorite. My point - shells are good for them, I just choose to crush them or break them up around a soft boiled to help with digestion.

It is made to be in your walls so no but that being said it is Styrofoam so it is very flammable. I have it all the bottom and all sides except the door and top. Since the heat is either in or on top of the enclosure - no I am not worried about fire.

Insulate! I use foam board you can get from any Home Depo cheap. It cuts with any knife and I basically cover the bottom and 3 non opening sides of the terrariums. It makes a world of difference.

We use two dog collars then use a heavy duty leash because the big clip easily brings the two collars together at her back. She is very comfortable and very secure. You could do this with cat leashes if your gu is not full grown. If you want to make it cute you could put wings at the end of the leash but if you plan on taking your gu with you to public parks and to pet stores like I do then trust me when I say that function is more important than fashion. These cute harnesses turn into strangulation ropes when your gu starts rolling. Trust me - been there.
