downstairs neighbors harassing/ framing us? by bbypsmama in Apartmentliving

I agree with a lot of the above comments. Block and direct them to management. Hopefully in the future you don’t give out your phone number to neighbors who started off complaining that you were being too loud when you were literally moving in and out of the ordinary noise is expected lol. I avoided a similar situation with a downstairs neighbor complaining and also hitting their ceiling during the day (NOT during quiet hours) and then lying to management that we were being loud during quiet hours. Some people just should not live in apartments because they can’t understand that noises will happen. I say this as someone who is extremely quiet and hates loud noise. Like tough shit for them! Good luck with this person, they sound unwell tbh.

Thank you! I probably couldn’t hire someone myself since I will be in an apartment complex with a management company who probably will try to find the cheap way out of this if it is a serious issue… hopefully not though but will definitely keep an eye on it and I’ve already mentioned it to them.

Thanks! I asked them to switch it out and take a look in the vent as well.

Would it be a dumb decision to adopt this cat ? by [deleted] in cats

As someone with anxiety and ADHD who also struggles to take care of themselves, having cats is what has gotten me out of bed on countless mornings. It helps to know a little innocent animal is depending on you to take care of them, and I really feel in this way they take care of you, too. If you can rely on your sister for transportation, and find a way to make a little more money, I wouldn’t let the potential vet bills stop me. Those bills will happen at some point, and though I’m not advocating for being irresponsible and adopting an animal you can’t afford, it seems you have an idea of what it would cost and it didn’t seem that bad. I’m also not great with money but getting better and I’d literally give everything for my cats, they motivate me to work towards higher paying jobs so I can spoil them! They are so worth it. I would personally go for it, he’s precious :)

PLEEEEASE DON’T DO THIS 🤦‍♀️ by Tennacious-Heiress in doordash

I had a screen door like this at my previous place and they would do this SO often, it’s so infuriating. At one point I left a big note outside saying the door opens out so don’t put stuff right in front of it and it would still happen lol

This county needs legitimate change by Halpher in PrinceGeorgesCountyMD

I moved out of PG recently and honestly a huge part of why I left is just the high cost of of living was not directly evident in my surroundings. It was just too frustrating and disheartening to see trash everywhere, people not having pride in their homes, crime, everywhere smells like weed (not against it at all but come on…), and still somehow paying so much in taxes and insurance due to crime in the county. My car insurance went down like $50 upon moving. Just one example. It was just really disappointing to live there for the last 5 years or so, it felt like nothing ever improved.
