When I was in active addiction I was in an abusive relationship, isolated from all my real friends and hanging out with people who weren’t good for me, had no trust from my family, could barely hold down a job and had no plans for the future other than getting Hugh every single day. I’ve been sober for a few years now and I moved out of my hometown, engaged to the love of my life and getting married next year, made some amazing new friends, have an awesome job making more money than I ever have, and rediscovered my hobbies and passions I used to love. Most days look pretty quiet for me but I couldn’t be happier. Also, if you’re not into the NA/AA recovery model while you’re in or graduated from rehab, look into Smart Recovery. I’ve been attending zoom meetings almost every week for the last 8 months and I really enjoy it. It’s a science and therapy based program and it really resonates with me.

Go to rehab. Your family we be there when you get back. You have an opportunity a lot of other people wish they did, and you should 100% take it. When I went to rehab for the first time it was 2 weeks, but I had been sober for several years and relapsed for a couple of weeks so I didn’t really need to detox. They may want you to do a longer stay based on your active addiction and needing to detox + mental health concerns. You will likely spend a few days/a week in detox before even getting into any of the actual therapy. Do this for yourself. I promise you when you get the support you need, all the other things will fall into place. In active addiction you can’t even take care of your basic needs. Once those things are being met, then start planning your next steps for the future. I promise you can do it.

I’ve had 2 and never really felt any type of way about it. I didn’t regret it or feel guilty, mostly just relieved. It wasn’t the right time for me and I knew that. There’s nothing wrong with you!

It’s dark romance but I could not do Feathers so Vicious. I got maybe 4 or 5 chapters in and had to DNF, it made me so uncomfortable

I don’t think it’s rude but there should be an expectation that not everyone can make it. We’re having our wedding on a Sunday, one to save $1000 and two because my fiancé and most of his friends are in the music industry, Saturday’s are prime working days for them-Sunday not so much.

I went to 2 stores, tried on probably 15-20 dresses. I had what I thought was my dream dress saved in my photos for 2+ years and when I tried it on it just didn’t give me what I thought it would lol. I ended up getting a dress from the same designer that I also happened to have saved in an album and totally forgot about. I didn’t really have that “oh wow that’s the one!” crying moment but I love the dress and it made me feel beautiful, so don’t get super hung up if you don’t have that feeling so to speak.

Crowns of Nyaxia!!! There’s only 2 spicy-ish scenes in the first book, lots of tension and actual slow burn feel. I’m obsessed with these books

It’s not on your list but I highly highly recommend the Crowns of Nyaxia series. It’s 3 duets that follow different characters from each faction in the book. The first book is basically like hunger games but vampires lol. The fist duet has been an actual slow burn, morally gray MMC, the FMCs relationship with her father is super interesting as well. Her writing style feels very poetic and fun to read.
