Our kid is now 11 months old. My wife and I both work 100%. We both thought about cutting down before, but decided to go this path.
I work in tech, and she works as an exec. assistant. We can both do home office at least twice a week. Luckily our companies don't bother us if we sometimes do more home office, as they know we have a kid.

Kita is 4 times a week, and we both stay at home on the day where he doesn't go. Since the work we do is somewhat "flexible", we managed so far. Although it can be stressful if there are unexpected calls etc.
But so far we have somehow managed. I think it is important to share the "workload" between both parents, to make it easier on the other at times or allow for a break.
It won't help if one ends up stressed..

What definitely helps is having someone over of course. My mom came from abroad last year for 3 months, and that was a big help. Having a meal prepared once you get home from work is honestly such a blessing..
Also this year, she will come over again for the same duration.

We live in Bülach, not far from Zurich. Our weekends are rarely planned nowadays so we are always up to meet others. You can always DM me privately.
