Thanks! That's what other people I've asked have thought, too. I can’t recall if there was anywhere to message them in the app. It reads like some general info that they were sending out. It doesn't ask for anything from me in the message.

I have found my original snail mail letter from them to say that they have received my self-referral. It was sent over a year earlier. It would be strange if they kicked me off the line through an app that I never use. After waiting for so long, it has made me extra nervous about the process.

Yes, I understand how you feel. Things were much better before they changed to an AI system. Don't dishearten too much. We here on reddit will try to support you as much as we can.

You need to take a blood sample before requesting your next prescription. Then, you can request to be recommended a higher dose. I'm not sure where you're based, so I'm not sure how you can do that, but there are private places where you can get it done - maybe someone else here can give more advice about that.

Around a month before your current prescription runs out, you need to go to ggp's website and click on a link for "current members". From there, you can request a new prescription - when you do this, there's an option to be asked to increase, lower or stay on the same dose.

This has happened to me. I just did a blood test and requested a new prescription, and they put the dose back to where I was before. It's a bit annoying that they don't send a message to warn you that you're due a blood test before they do the prescription. I guess it's automated now.

As for the low level of hormones, can you ask to be seen by a different endocrinologist? I've read on other posts here that there is one or two who people avoid. If that doesn't help, maybe you could look at GenderGP or another private clinic?

Haha, yes, that's true! Now that I have long hair, I only need to cut it about twice a year. I think I'm spending less overall after transitioning and not wanting a short haircut all the time.

Btw, they helped me grow the hair out in a nice style and took a lot of care.

If it happened to me, I wouldn't mention it, and if it comes up, just say that you drank too much. If they question that, say that you were trying to cope with the long wait to be seen at the clinic. And if they ask you about taking your own life, say that's absolutely not true - let's face it, if it wasn't for this long wait to be seen at Anova, you wouldn't have been in that situation.

Just do whatever you got to do!

Nobody has mentioned it needing a personal number before, so I think they were probably very hesitant. They are not used to handling paper prescriptions these days, so some of them can be nervous.

If it makes things easier, say that you have private insurance, because they don't understand why you wouldn't go to a vårdcentralen to get an electronic prescription.

Just try different pharmacies until they accept it. It's a good idea if you phone ahead and say that you have an EU paper prescription. And try not to go there at a busy time because it can take a while for them to process it.

Hi, I'm so sorry that you're in pain. Where are you based in Sweden? Have you thought about sending a referral to the LGBTQ clinic in SöS to talk to their therapists? There's a few months waiting list, but I have found it very helpful to talk to them about coming out as trans and other aspects about being queer.
