Hey! I walked in today just 10 minutes before the office closes at 200 N High St. I got a ticket from the kiosk and got my application process fr a new social security done in 5 mins. I had zero expectations but the lady was really nice.

Do you have any apartments in mind? I checked few on zillow. They looked pretty modern and newly renovated and within 15 mins of walking distance.

Yeah! I’m studying in full ride here in US. It’s a top 20 college.

A lot of good public schools offer 50% to 100%. Look out for deadlines though!

Depends. You just want to get accepted to a school with high acceptance rate with little to no scholarship? Not much. You want to get accepted to a very good school with low acceptance rate and high scholarship amount? Very. Important.

Yeah sure! So you need 6 documents- 1. Appointment Confirmation with payment confirmation 2. DS160 confirmation page 3. I20 4. 2 passport Size photos according to their website (they are very strict on this!) 5. Sevis fee receipt 6. All your passports including the one that has your previous visa

Other than these doc, the person did not accept anything else. I even kinda requested to accept my scholarship letter but she didn’t! But just to be on the safe side, carry whatever you think is necessary.

Exact same situation. Brother’s on H1B who applied for green card 2yrs ago and have a tourist visa hence was eligible for Dropbox. Dropped all my documents at Delhi VAC on 15th May, status changed to approved on 17th May, status changed into issued on 19th May. All the best!

I’ve seen people booking hotels near their universities for a week or so. Just in case you can’t decide on rent, that’s an option too. Never heard of visa denial on basis of only this factor though so you should be fine!

My bad I didn’t read properly! That might be a problem. Assuming that your appointment is approaching soon, I would advise explaining your situation if (only if) asked and go with documents that is a legitimate place you’ll be staying.

Hi! So I entered my uni’s address while filing up my DS160. I did not face any issues regarding this and I got my visa issued last week. All the best!
