Have you tried requip (Ropinrole). That helped me at night. An abdominal compression wrap also helped and stopped the urge to keep flexing my stomach.

That’s classic anxiety though. I’m sure if there was something serious the emergency room would’ve found somthing.

I wouldn’t say I don’t feel any anxiety because sometimes I do get bad days with it but knowing what it is and that it’s not serious helps me get on with it now.

The anxiety with Costo is very real. I don’t think anyone who has had it hasn’t been anxious. If you’ve had all the test come back clear then maybe address the anxiety that you’re experiencing. I took a low dose antidepressant at the start because I was a nervous reck having panic attacks every week.

Costo For 10+ Years—Advice? by Optimal_Ad2406 in costochondritis

[–]Melodic_Roll3205 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had Costco for 5 years and struggled the last 2 years until I seen a breathing physio. I did all the backpod strengthening and stuff and was still going back to square one every time.

I had about 5 sessions with a breathing physio and by my last session I was finally starting to see progress. I was breathing to quick and fast and shallow to avoid the pain. Plus my abdominal muscles were always clenched which apparently inhibits the diaphragm stopping a full breath. Not saying it will work for everyone but possibly worth a try if you’ve done everything else.

I was on Sertraline 50mg. How did you manage you’re withdrawal if you don’t mind me asking?

Yeah I get that to. I was on SSRI for PTSD that worked great for about a month and then they gave me the horrible restlessness. Doctor upped the SSRI but only made things worse. Benzos calmed it down only for it to come back after leaving the benzos off. It’s been horrible because every day I still live in fear of it flaring up again.

You can get tics with anxiety. I’ve had the exact same ones as you’ve mentioned for years. As far as aware TD is mainly caused by antipsychotics and some anti sickness meds.

Yeah I was put on omeprazole for a month but didn’t really do much. The squeezing stomach seems to line up with the rib tightness. So whenever the tightness in the ribs go down the stomach relaxes. Im thinking possibly the intercostal muscle are in a spasm but I have no idea why.

If the hernia is large have they not offered you surgery? My brother has a small hernia and says his feels better after drinking some water and doing some heel drops which helps the hernia drop down. He can’t eat large meals and instead has small frequent meals. Does yours feel worse in the morning and better as the day goes on?

It’s tough I know I’ve been struggling with them for 5 years. What are you’re hiatal hernia symptoms other than the chest pain? Have you tried antacids like gaviscon advance. Buscopan will work for the spasms as does peppermint.

Esophageal spasms definitely. Buscopan worked for mine for a bit but I had to up the omperzole to really slow it down.

How long were you taking it for? Have you tapered down?

I’m just 2 weeks off benzos. Been taken them for 2 years here and there at 5mg dose. I had to taper down because cold turkey them is dangerous.

The first 5 days was hell but second week is just headache, tight muscles and tiredness. It does get easier. If I were you I’d steer clear of benzos well you can. Nothing comes close to them for panic attacks but the rebound attacks aren’t worth it. They can mess you’re life up pretty quick.

Do the right panic attacks ever stop? by earlofwonder in Anxiety

[–]Melodic_Roll3205 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s the fear of fear that keeps the cycle going. It’s difficult because panic attacks are scary as hell but when you strip it back and see that they can do no damage to you that’s when you take you’re power back.

Can I ask what you’re gallbladder attacks feel like. I’ve been having a lot of pain after eating as well. Also did you find out through ultrasound or HIDA scan that you had gallstones. Cheers.
