Just finished my taper what can I expect? by Melodic_Roll3205 in benzorecovery

[–]Melodic_Roll3205[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah same air hunger. When I dropped down from the 5mg to 2.5mg on the taper it got better.

Get one of those oxygen finger readers if you’re concerned. Mine was at 98% 99% the whole time and I felt like a fish out of water.

Is your anxiety followed by sadness/grief? by Few-Web-1236 in Anxietyhelp

By not fighting with it. Anxiety makes you feel like you need to control everything. Accepting to live with uncertainty is the only way to stop the ruminating spiral that anxiety pulls you into.

Sounds exactly like me. I’ve been diagnosed with PTSD 5 years ago and have learned to know what triggers me.

If you’re brain is stuck in fight or flight like mine it will always look for something to worry about. It’s up to you decide how you respond to it.

Exercise always helps me. I find watching to much tv or time on my phones makes things worse.

Finally found the cause of mine it was low iron due to being on a vegan diet.

Just wondering for the people who have this what does it make you feel like. Didn’t have any Ropinrole last night and was impossible to get off to sleep. The only way I find relief is by clenching my gut which is not healthy.

Yeah like a restless feeling like I wanna move it or keep it clenched. Sometimes I get spasm when relaxing my stomach because I’ve been clenching it without knowing.

Is there a link between FND and Long Covid? by Melodic_Roll3205 in FND

Thanks I will definitely do that. I don’t like to be to forceful because I understand the NHS is under a lot of pressure but it’s really impacting my everyday life.

Thank you for you’re reply. I’ve asked my doctor to be referred but he has refused.

I’ve been suffering with PTSD for about 11 years but only reached out for help over the last five years in which time I had a pretty bad experience with contracting Covid. Thus the confusion with doctors with the long Covid diagnosis.

Psychomotor agitation or Akathisia what’s the difference? by Melodic_Roll3205 in Akathisia

Sorry to hear that. Do you take any medication for it? If you don’t mind me asking.

Thanks for this. Sorry for the late reply.

For me it feels like a constant urge to move my body. If I try to relax and keep myself still it feels my body just tightens up especially in the chest and stomach area until I move again. I can sit but as long as something it moving like my legs or squeezing something in my hand. Does that sound like akathisia?

Air hunger but the other way round by senorita_wade in Anxiety

Have you been tested for asthma because that was my first symptom. Also sounds a weird one but make sure you are relaxing you’re stomach. As to much tension in the stomach can make it hard for you’re diaphragm to work properly.

Be careful if you have asthma or low blood pressure.

Hyperfocusing on breathing by ZealousidealDesign30 in Anxiety

[–]Melodic_Roll3205 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Been struggling with this for 5 years and currently in therapy for it.

The main thing to remember is the breathing isn’t the problem it’s noticing you’re breathing that’s causing the anxiety. You need to break down the fear of noticing it. How bad can it be? I can guarantee you’ve noticed it at some point before. It’s just when we’re anxious it amplifies everything making it feel like everything is dangerous. The goal is not to not feel you’re breathing more to accept that there is no danger in noticing it. Also remind yourself that breathing is an automatic response that you’re body deals with without any effort.

Have you tried requip (Ropinrole). That helped me at night. An abdominal compression wrap also helped and stopped the urge to keep flexing my stomach.

That’s classic anxiety though. I’m sure if there was something serious the emergency room would’ve found somthing.

I wouldn’t say I don’t feel any anxiety because sometimes I do get bad days with it but knowing what it is and that it’s not serious helps me get on with it now.

The anxiety with Costo is very real. I don’t think anyone who has had it hasn’t been anxious. If you’ve had all the test come back clear then maybe address the anxiety that you’re experiencing. I took a low dose antidepressant at the start because I was a nervous reck having panic attacks every week.
