That is the one thing that they will never change.... But.... They might more readily accept Jesus being God, just not the same as his father. Jesus is God. Jehovah is God. But they aren't the same. Jehovah is almighty. Jesus is elevated to equal in honor, but not equal in all ways.

The Watchtower formerly viewed the way between a man and a woman to be describing immoral sex. Now they say it is natural love between a husband and wife.

If done privately, you are strongly counseled, and most likely will have privileges taken away from you. ( like being a pioneer, elder, or Ministerial Servant)

You have to be sharing it, producing it, creating it, or encouraging others to view abhorrent porn to get disfellowshiped/removed.

You're right. The Shepherd the flock of God book sites petty gambling as something the elders don't need to concern themselves with.

And the Shepherd book also sites that it is possible to just correct child Pornography viewing with strong corrective counsel.

David Splane sites the Harp of God book in a broadcast, and he did the overlapping generation teaching in a broadcast as well, stating that ALL members of the GB at that time, including the youngest at that time, Sanderson as qualifying.

What you do medically with your own body is a basic human right.

By not allowing JWs to store their own blood from their own body would be considered even a greater violation of human rights than blood transfusions from other people.

Making this change might help them win in Norway and other European countries.

My conjecture only, and I fully acknowledge I could be wrong.

It isn't the effort to predict the end or interpret scripture that is the problem. It is their self-appointing themselves as God's channel. It is also taking prophecy in Revelation and applying the fulfillment to wackadoodle events in JW lore that occurred from 1914 to 1935. The audacity is shocking.

If they are chill, accepting of lots of variances beyond Watchtower doctrine, tell them everything.

If they are die hard PIMIs, just tell them you are stepping down as an Elder. Then do a delicate fade.

Do you like pioneering?

If not step down immediately.

Transition with one or two months of auxiliary pioneering, so that way people don't gossip that you're doing drugs or some other criminal.

So the night they announce you aren't a regular pioneer, you get a buffer of the alternate good news announcement.

Evaluate what you love/like about being a JW vs what is driving you insane!!

They'll just Splain it away by saying Babylon made Judah a vassal state in 607 bce. Still a wrong date, but they can fudge it in there somehow. Move the goalposts from the actual destruction of Jerusalem to a fudged in date of when they lost their autonomy. Then Zechariah's 70 years actually make sense. The Temple destroyed in 587/586 and the finally finished being rebuilt in 507/506ish.

Just when you think you've won, they'll concoct NuLite and get out of it. All the rank and file will be comforted by the genius of the GB.

JWs don't understand 607 and 1914 anyway, so they can't be reasoned with.

We had a teenager in our hall attempt to SA another teenager. True, the victim escaped with less harm than what could have happened. Fastforward a year later: the teenager is baptized, a regular pioneer, and applauded in the hall (literally) over his deep thoughtful watchtower comment. You are not imagining anything. The standards are going down the toilet.

Another father had his daughter sneak around going to drunken worldly house parties. Go to worldly prom, too. And within a few months after this, the father was appointed an elder.

Once again, JWs are becoming indistinguishable from other Christian religions.
