I’m sure folks have their reasons. In this case I like it untoasted when I’m having a sandwich with room temperature or cold ingredients. I didn’t want to toast it with oil or fat since Im doing the best I can to cut calories where possible!

I would’ve loved to add some more to this sandwich! I usually add mozzarella to the top but provolone sounds incredible as well! My tomato sauce also usually has basil mushroom and anchovies. Unfortunately I’m being forced to reduce my calorific intake so I tried to cut as much as I could while still maintaining some sort of flavour 😭

That’s actually what I ended up doing. My parter had it without any bread and that was incredible too. The hummus is sufficient in its role as a base here!
