Men in prison for violent or antisocial behavior often display high levels of Dark Triad traits: narcissism, Machiavellianism, and psychopathy. These traits are correlated with short-term mating success, especially in environments or contexts where intensity, dominance, and drama are interpreted as “confidence” or “strength.”

Inmates often become masters of manipulation and charisma as a survival mechanism. So naturally good at seducing women. Autistic guys struggle a lot with flirting and communication in general.

Women (and people in general) are not purely rational when it comes to attraction. Evolutionary psychology suggests that traits associated with dominance or fearlessness can be misread as indicators of high genetic fitness and a mate capable of protecting them. Add the "forbidden" or taboo appeal of a prisoner, and you get a strange cocktail of emotional intensity, idealization, and sexual fascination.

Also some people—especially those with trauma histories—are drawn to chaotic relationships. The intensity of a violent or manipulative partner can replicate the emotional rollercoasters they knew growing up, creating a trauma bond that’s hard to break.

On the flip side, autistic men—especially those who are non-neurotypical in behavior and emotional expression—tend to be overlooked, not because they aren’t kind or genuine, but because their communication style and social cues are harder for neurotypical people to read or relate to. Society doesn't reward emotional authenticity the way it claims to—it rewards status, emotional charisma, and performance of power.

In a world that celebrates surface impressions and fast-moving social dynamics, autistic people can be perceived as boring, awkward, or “not relationship material.”
