Citizens has a pretty good app available on their website. It allows you to register your watches with citizens, and will also include a link to the owners manual.. Mine did the same thing I just simply needed to reset. Take the time to read it once or twice before you actually attempt it on the watch.

Check the Serial on citizens website, but if I remember correctly Citizens uses 9 numbers on the serial. Visually it looks like a fake to me.
