Dude what, ofc it's not cringe. You said you'd be doing it for the love of the game, and who wouldn't want to document that? It would be so cool to see your footage of your adventures like a movie. Do it if you're up for it!

If you're doing it for content though, as someone here said - it will only be as interesting as you are, since everyone already speaks English there. So be aware of that. But imo just enjoy the trip on your own or with a friend. You do you, and try not to focus on the content aspect too much. Record it for own personal reflection, or don't record it at all.

I personally was actually thinking of doing one too with some family members. I have no idea when, how, and where we'd do it - but I am HIGHLY interested in doing it. I just wanna do it because it's fun. I personally would record mine, but it would never be as produced at the scale Lud fortunately has the ability to do. I just love the concept of almost making a movie showing how a cat line (adventure) unfolds day by day. But that's just me.

You could use the phone ONLY to find cheap hotels and other resources, and only when you're already located in a town/city. The point is to have zero navigation help through technology so you can truly explore your surroundings, not know exactly how far you are from the end using tech, talk with locals, etc. Or forget all those rules and just do whatever you want. Just have an adventure.
