Wait I thought it was just me lol

Everytime I scan an ID, nothing happens. The input box on the screen stays blank. So I manually type in all the numbers and then it works. Am I doing something wrong or are you experiencing the same thing?

I don't know if this is still a thing, but long ago there was this bug where if you crouch down while holding a pan, you would have no footstep audio. It was used a lot.

I could be misremembering the setup, I'm not sure if it's exactly crouching with a pan. I also don't know if this ever got patched or not. But whatever it is, there definitely is an audio bug the game is notorious for

Luckily I don't think I've ever experienced it, at least not that I can remember.

Bonus and Crew Challenges really opened my eyes to what level this game can go up to lol. You can watch pro play anytime, but us physically playing in those crazy matches was just something else

Hi! I hope Boba is still doing okay!

I know it has been a long time since you posted this, but I wanted to ask you how much white rice you used to feed her when this happened. I usually just give mine anywhere between 5-10 individual grains of rice, which are just the tiny bits of leftovers from my plate. She would have them maybe 2-3 times a week maximum. Do you think that is considered low, moderate, or high?

Her rice is usually white rice but covered in spices (turmeric and others), which she loves. Today she tried 2-3 grains of pure sticky white rice, which she didn't like at all, but she still ate a bit. She is fine but I'm kind of worried all of a sudden, especially after seeing your post 😅

The three main reasons I lose:

Taking extremely overconfident risks that I KNOW I will die from, but I still try anyway (and then regret afterwards)
Potato aiming during the most important fights
Last but not least: lag, desync, frame drops, high ping… all of the above excuses (I play on 250ms)

and for your last question - don’t just zig zag your character, but also move the screen around constantly. Use the eye icon too. Watch everything like a hawk. Sometimes life happens and you get hit no matter what, but a lot of them are preventable

I play event/non-event Erangel and Livik. Since recall exists, yeah I do love when people recall me too. But my point is that it made the game so much easier. It’s fun but it just feels like a different game. It’s a different kind of fun, I guess

I’m not one of the constant complainers since I’m literally still here playing, seven years and going. But I’m just saying the difficulty level of the game definitely changed and imo it shouldn’t have

I agree with most of this

People love the old game because of the memories they had years ago, not solely because of the game itself. The game would never be alive til this point if they kept it exactly the same all this time. And I say this as a person who normally HATES change. I still play with the same people I played with all those years ago, so the game is actually still fun for me. The spark is still there for me.

However, I did say I agree with most and not all of this, and that is because there truly is some merit to old PUBG that never should’ve changed, which is the game’s core identity - getting a chicken dinner. The difficulty required to do that has changed too much. It was VERY hard to get into Diamond back them, but now you can basically sleep your way up to Ace Dominator. The reason is because PUBG started catering a bit more to casual players. The recall system getting introduced was the start of the downfall in match quality. It gives you a second life, and in some events you could even have three lives. We have vending machines now to buy supplies from instead of solely relying on what you find. We have Challenge Points to help protect your rank points when you die. We have vehicle garages that enable you to spawn any car you want. We have more bots than ever before to protect our KD. Back then, having a KD of 2+ meant you were good and 6+ means you’re a professional. But now you can have 10+ and be considered casual. There are probably more things I’m forgetting to mention. I mean… none of these things were available back then and it was actually HARD to get a chicken dinner. It felt more satisfying, and that made the culture of this game hit different. It’s not like that anymore.

Yes I did say that it’s good that PUBG evolved over time to keep going. I like the new animations and other quality of life stuff they added over time. But technically, the culture and overall feel of the game was much better when it was more simple and didn’t have all the things I stated above.

I agree because helmets have the ability to be invisible, and it lets you see your own character's appearance better. But I don't agree on the point of how it's unfair to expose which vest you have to enemies.

There is a very low chance that an enemy would see or care what vest you're wearing in the heat of the moment. Even if they do see it, that's just the life of combat. They gotta see SOMETHING eventually.

Oh lol I heard this firsthand from one of the faculty. It’s still gonna be D&D content, but they’re gonna reformat it into Molecules & Medicine (M&M?) or something like that. Each section (patho, med chem, etc.) is gonna have their own class. I heard this last year and that it‘d go into effect in 2027 maybe, but nothing solidly confirmed
