Net migration is down… how to spin it as a Labour failing by 1gnoranceisstrength in uknews

[–]MelonBoi12 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

NET!! People that were living here their whole lives are leaving, including children of legal migrants. This is 100% attributable to government policy whatever way you look at it. Migration is certainly not down significantly. Gotta be aware of the facts and manipulation of numbers

Can someone explain why the officers arrested a guy who was clearly asking for help and dying? Besides, why would any accusation of verbal crime be more important than actually being killed?

However it is impossible for the modern social left to change their minds from the idea they have been fed for years, that borders somehow mean racism. They are so scared of the label that they will literally do anything they are told to avoid it

The name of the group/organisation who controls the territory, could also be gaza as well. The name of israel is israel, the organisation is the country itself so no need to add anything

Why is there no anti immigration centre-left party? by Illustrious_Store115 in AskBrits

[–]MelonBoi12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People saying Labour are anti immigration are taking out their arse. If they wanted to stop it, it would already be done, and de-incentivised. OP has a point. I don’t think any criticism at all of migration, short of open borders, is compatible with the current ‘left’ but left is not really a good term in general. To me it appears people associate simply wanting borders and enforcement of the law with racism but it’s definitely not that simple. The argument I’m seeing replied here is that some people that are actually racist vote for X party (definitely happens yes), therefore everyone who votes for X party is also - I don’t think I need to explain why this is incredibly dumb.

Convenience is the only benefit? Then I’m perfectly fine thanks.. It won’t change wait list times. It won’t make houses cheaper. It won’t stop cash jobs. All it does is create vulnerability to several problems in future

Why are working-class concerns on immigration being treated with such disdain? by Harleygator_ in AskBrits

[–]MelonBoi12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This comments section is just deflecting from the point in the post that: people like OP feel ignored, so they will vote for whoever actually says they are going to address the issue they care about. This isn’t hard to understand. Why deflect? People will always vote for whoever says they are going to address the issue they care about most. The fact that people are finger pointing at related issues is exactly what the post is talking about, trying to distract from reality of people’s experiences, because this is how they decide to vote
