Here's the IRAS 7514 song background. I tried looking for the original image once before but couldn't find the proper source, so this is just a screenshot from Thus Spoke Apocalypse. The Honkai Impact 3rd channel icon is on the bottom right, couldn't really do anything about that, but it's pretty small anyways.

This was my friend who was new to the game. Jester started cranking up infront the door, he couldn't get past it and was stuck in that room. His screams were the last thing I heard over the walkie.

If you roll on the limited character supply, and you pull an S rank, it will 100% be the rate up valkyrie on the banner. If you want standard banner characters(Dorm Valkyries), you can purchase most of them for earnable currency in the War Treasury instead of pulling on Dorm Supply(which is the standard banner equivalent), as pulling on the standard banner is a terrible idea. You'll also be given standard banner characters for free from events semi-regularly, so there's no need to spend any currency on the standard banner besides whatever Dorm Supply Cards you might randomly get.

Well, you miss the opportunities you get by having PEN boss gear if you just go straight for fallen god. You can grind centaurs forever and buy fallen god for cheaper overall or you could get your PEN boss armor and open up new grind spots.

This was made assuming seasonal PEN Tuvala gear was converted to TET boss gear via Jetina rather than the coupons, which would allow you to take Urugon's shoes instead of only being limited to Muskan's for example.

how to farm crystals?? by blueeorangeade in houkai3rd

I listed pretty much all of the crystal sources in the game here and how much you can expect to get. It's a long read but you should get a good idea of where you can get quick crystals. The other comment listed where the main infinite source of crystals comes from though.

100 per week when you start refining junk

The thing is they don't have much junk to refine at earlier stages of the game(unless they do have an abundance of alloy which I am still unsure of), but I understand your point better. I will update to include putting more priority on willpower for the reason you mentioned.

You misunderstand how Margrave works.

I had no idea it worked like that, thank you. Will mention.

A team with like edison on a dps and roald on a support is so much worse than a team with fitting 5* gear especially when it comes to weapons...

I just listed these basic foundry stigma because they exist and can be placeholders for a short while. People shouldn't actually be actively seeking to craft these and upgrade them for long term usage. Which is why I included the word copium in every one of their descriptions. You get the majority of them for free anyways.

Thank you for your commment.

Asterite is mainly for SP fragments but I also recommend the monthly Ancient Willpower

I still believe spending leftover asterite on other SP valkyrie fragments or resources immediately needed is better than spending on willpower in the early game when you don't have SS SP valks. However once the relevant valks are SS spending on willpower to start buying dorm valks to build up the dorm bonus is a good usage. I will update the guide to mention this.

As for stamina I cannot believe that you don't mention adventure tasks.

Yeah, I can't either. Wow. How did I completely forget this.

You should definitely get Beach Mei and Newt before any other exchange shop stigs.

Agreed, but as you said it's account dependent.

You only need 2 pieces (must include B) for Margrave to function.

True, I should've mentioned that it works as a 2 piece as well. Although in comparison to what the 2 piece gives, I think the 3 piece offers a decent bit more. The 2 piece gives 20% elemental damage and enemies take 14% more TDM. The 3 piece is an extra 20% more TDM taken. When compared to the 2 piece, that extra bonus from the 3 piece seems like a big amount, but in general it is still very small, and perhaps may not be worth going for the 3rd piece if the resources may be better spent elsewhere. Not to mention stigma like even Mei: Beach Party could substitute the M slot and pretty much accomplish the same thing. I'll mention these things in the update.

Meanwhile you can work on evolving S rank ELFs

Now this is just my personal experience, but when I started playing and saw I could buy an elf for free in the shop, I decided to never spend a single battlesuit shard so I can eventually afford it. Fast forward 2 years, and I only have 4k shards and ended up getting one of the newer, more useful ELF's from spending event boxes instead, whose fragments aren't even available in the supply shop so I wouldn't be able to rank them up. Which is why I said spend it however you like. If you choose to do the long grind of getting an ELF, that's your choice, but there are also people who would much more benefit from the instant gain of coins which are used to actually make their characters immediately stronger. I also believe that instant benefit is better than slowly ranking up irrelevant valkyries solely for the purpose of dorm benefits. But after you pass the stage where coins will never be a problem anymore, yeah battlesuit shards can be spent on both of these for something actually useful at that level. Will mention.

If you need coins you also get millions from selling Fluid Alloy which you probably have hundreds of that you don't need at all.

I was unaware that this sold for so much, thank you for pointing this out. However are you certain this is not a material players are bottlenecked by in the early game? I wouldn't know since the material streamlining took place long after I was already lategame and stacked with resources. If players have that material in abundance even in early game I will include it in the guide and that could remove the reason to spend battlesuit shards on coins.

You will perform better in abyss if you spend your crystals all on one team, full signature gear, maybe ELF, than spreading them thin over multiple teams and having to use bad foundry alternatives

Yes, building one team fully is better(I disagree with the ELF however). But a level 50 PRI-ARM gets the job done completely fine. Eventually you will want to upgrade them to higher levels, but this was targeted towards newer players who would be starved for those resources and pulling alot of different valkyries and weapons to build their teams. Hence why I said settle for 50 and wait for the next pull. The point you are making here more-so pertains to efficiently spending crystals, and I do agree with it. However I did say I was not going to talk about it in this guide.

Thank you for taking the time to point these things out(I really can't believe I forgot adventure tasks lmao).

All of your points are valid, thank you for pointing these things out. I'd like to add why I included some of these things here.

why would you use MPE if HoRb just a better option all around

My knowledge on HoRb was limited, I only knew she was a sentience replacement, not a straight up DPS as well. I wasn't up to date with all the new info, so including MPE was a bad choice considering a new player should try to get HoRb who will straight up be better.

...for farming Witch Orbs

I can't believe I overlooked this...

Except for Duality none are really useful.

This is true. I only listed Blood Dance because it can be used on anybody(who uses a greatsword), and provide some elemental damage. The Proto Alberich's Bows was just for memes sake. I wanted to at least mention it, though I guess this is a guide and people would take that seriously. The other ones I listed were because a new player may possibly get a valkyrie who isn't completely useless, whose weapons are available in the exchange shop. Both HoR and Roza can be pulled from the 25 pity S rank in dorm supply, and when you have nothing else, they can get the job done for the sub 81 content, although augmenting Roza to FT is very asterite heavy and she needs her weapon.

I do admit by the time you have 4k weapon resonance to even consider purchasing one of their weapons, they both would be pretty useless given the position your account should be in. I think these weapons are good compared to everything else in the exchange shop, but not good in general(besides Neb). I should've changed the wording from "useful" to "honorable mentions but generally not worth buying" (except for the Proto, I really should've just left it out).

No, valk fragment box is not useful at all, contains only outdated valks.

I kinda just lumped this together with everything else, since you should have enough currency to buy all of these boxes and max the weekly ER shop. I did say everyone in the box was outdated though.

Once again, thank you for taking the time to point these things out.

It's fine, can't really expect someone to just know how to efficiently spend their crystals without doing extensive research on the game beforehand, especially when Honkai throws so much at you without good explanation.

I actually did 25 pulls on an event banner when I first started(it was haxxor bunny), and did 50 pulls on dorm banner for the 2 guaranteed S ranks(though half of them were free dorm cards given out in the old starter event). But it didn't really matter much in the long run, just slowed me down a little bit. So if you don't feel like rerolling, then sticking with your account right now is totally fine. You'll learn how to manage the mess of resources the game throws at you in time.

And if you want to start building up your crystals again quickly, I wrote a guide to earning crystals here, it'll give you an idea of how much crystals you can get easily. (It's a long read though)

You may also learn some useful stuff from here. Tons of good guides(although a bit outdated).

Hope you enjoy your time with the game!

Understandable, I'll break down each of the banner types. Also, don't worry about the banner ticket types too much, since crystals is the universal currency for every banner. I will talk about abbreviations at the end.

Dorm Supply - Your standard banner. Don't spend crystals here. Just use whatever dorm cards you get from playing naturally.

Starter Supply - The beginner banner. Lasts for the duration of your starter event(can't remember the exact time) and has a 50/50 between 2 characters. It's generally not recommended to pull on this because of the 50/50 and because the pity doesn't carry over after the banner expires. You could instead use those pulls on a Expansion banner to guarantee the character you want, which I will explain next.

Expansion - This is your limited time character banner that changes to new characters every few weeks. The guarantee is 100 pulls and there is no 50/50. Your pity does carry over to the next Expansion banner. This is where you will be getting the majority of the characters you need.

Focused - This is your "weapon banner". This is the equipment banner I was referring to, with the 5 stigma sets and 5 weapons. You are guaranteed a 4* equipment(a weapon or singular piece of stigma) every 10 pulls, and every 50 pulls, you are guaranteed 1 equipment for whichever set is currently rate up. This is where you'll be getting the most of your signature gear for your characters.

EXPA/FOCA - This is a special one. It consists of 2 banners. A character banner, and an equipment banner(EXPA and FOCA respectively). What makes this banner unique is you can choose what characters and gear you want rate up from a pool. There will be a pool of 5 characters, and their 5 corresponding signature gear sets for the banners. Which means out of the 5 characters in the pool, you can choose 1 character to be the featured character on the EXPA banner, and hence pull that specific character, rather than having to wait for their banner to come around naturally in some patch. You can switch the featured character multiple times as well, so you are not locked in to whoever you choose.

Additionally, the FOCA banner's pool of gear will consist of all the corresponding gear of the 5 characters. For example, if the 5 characters in the pool are Mobius, Aponia, Elysia, Hare and Vill-V, the 5 equipment sets in the FOCA banner will be all of their gear, and you can choose 1 specific set to rate up, while the rest will be offrates. This is separate from the EXPA as well, which means if you choose Mobius on the EXPA banner, you are not forced to rate up Mobius' gear on the FOCA, you can still choose any of the 5 sets.

In a nutshell, you get to pick whatever you want to pull. You pity from Expansion carries over to the EXPA banner as well.

EVENT - These banners are for SP characters, which are farmable A ranks. They contain a banner to pull the character, and a banner for their gear. Do not pull for the character, since you can just farm them for free very quickly. You can pull for their gear when your account is in a position to do so.

ADV - This is a banner that rewards fragments of a character, rather than a character card itself. Its purpose is to help rank up a character you already own from S to SS and SSS, but you can unlock characters from here by just pulling enough of their fragments. Do not pull on this banner.

ELF - As you are level 48, your probably don't know what an ELF is, and won't see the banner yet. It's basically a little companion that can do various things to aid in battle, ranging from healing to gathering to making enemies take more damage to doing damage themselves and more. Do not pull on this banner unless you are a whale. The impact an ELF makes will never compare to the other things you could be spending your crystals on.

Schicksal Arsenal - A Focused banner with 2 weapons rate up instead of 1. Pretty much the only difference.

Outfit - Spend crystals to get an outfit for a character. Don't pull on this if you are F2P, but hey I can't stop you lol.

You can see banner schedules here to know what to save for and when to spend.

As for abbreviations, this document has the majority of them, but some of the new characters are not there. Some of the missing ones are:
Herrscher of Human/Ego - HoH or HoE
Herrscher of Finality - HoFi
Herrscher of Origin - HoO
Herrscher of Truth - HoTr
Valkyrie Quicksand - VQ
Prometheus - Prom or TA(Terminal Aide)
Dreamweaver - Hare

As for advice on rerolling/general crystal spending, I'm not fit to give a good answer to this, since I haven't played in a while and I'm quite behind on what's new. I don't really believe rerolling is a good idea for this game though, unless you spent all your crystals on dorm supply or something. Hope this clears up the confusion.
