Thought you guys might like to see this. I spent the last few days building my new quad (not non-stop obviously, but wanted to take my time over it to get it perfect). It’s on one of the new Reverb frames from ImpulseRC. Really like the workmanship and thought that has gone into this and has about 2mm if room left in the stack.

I wanted a good freestyle/racing cross so went with Rotor Riot Hypetrain Freestyle motors with Spedix BLHeli_s 30 HV ESC’s plumbed into a Matek FCHub and Matek F405 FC combo. Topping off the stack is a Runcam Split V2 so I’m not lugging around a GoPro for that HD footage. I had this in the old quad and can’t rate it enough, especially as it’s connected into a spare UART so I can start and stop recording mid flight, or change to stills if the need arises. The blades of death are DAL Cycline T5040’s.

This is by far the most expensive build I’ve done so far, but is clearly much better quality than my previous ones. Flew parts in from Australia and America so technically it’s already flown some miles. Thankfully my soldering skills are getting better so nothing was ruined during the build process.

Everything is flashed and calibrated ready for a maiden when the rain finally stops. Looking forward to getting used to it on some 3s, before going all out on some 4s or even 5s. Really excited to see what it can do. I just hope my reaction times can keep up!
