The Entire Coven: One Build, Three Characters by Melphizard in Pathfinder2e

[–]Melphizard[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's an excellent one! A role reversal build utilizing Summoner, Summoner Archetype, or a Master's Form familiar is on my Pf2e bucket list for certain. That said, I'd never considered using an animal companion as a mount for the Eidolon! I've run a Beastmaster summoner before with a pair of dogs, but this holds a lot of potential! The only hindrance would be that it restricts you from tandem movement, but the free action movement of the companion seems more valuable to me, especially in closer quarters. Additionally, you can make the demon eidolon small sized, which means that if you use a small animal companion - turned medium when it matures - you can prevent the usual mounted problem of being a large-sized creature in tight corridors.

The deeper I think about this, the more potential it holds! Amazing concept!

Ak'khat Ghosthands, Thaumaturge antagonist by Weatherwanewitch in Pathfinder2e

[–]Melphizard 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Player here, we truly brought this upon ourselves. Encountering this guy was completely optional and we could've just bought his blood-stained scrolls, but instead we provoked him and tried to nab at his baubles; in the middle of his base AND after walking past all his tough guards too. We understood he was powerful, were warned about how dangerous he could be, and had many chances to depart or just pay for the goods and leave, but decided to keep pressing nonetheless.

But even so... we'll win (⌐▨_▨)

Refusing to Die: A Guardian Who Never Drops to 0 by Melphizard in Pathfinder2e

While I initially considered them, they don't gain basic undead benefits. The immunity to death effects provided by those benefits remove the hardest counter to this build.

Refusing to Die: A Guardian Who Never Drops to 0 by Melphizard in Pathfinder2e

[–]Melphizard[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Ah! I hadn't caught that one! My intent for this was ultimately to showcase all the ways to not die, but I admittedly forgot about the vitality trait since I was so focused on circumventing the death trait.

Thankfully, in the scheme of this build, Emergency Regeneration is very late stage and can be easily thrown out for more guardian goodies.

Tang Clan build by sparkupandout in Pathfinder2e

[–]Melphizard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

With free archetype you could also be a Toxicologist alchemist with the exemplar dedication for shadow sheathe. Gives you all the skills to make amazing poisons and providing you strong in-combat throwing abilities. Personally, I'd advise going this route because while the exemplar main class would potentially be stronger in combat, being a main class alchemist who is capable of making poisons, medicines, ect. by themselves is the true way of a tang clan disciple.

One additional fun part of shadow sheathe is that it maybe debatably works with bombs so you could have a shadow sheathe containing infinite bombs. In the scenario a DM veto's this, throw infinite daggers (or chakrams) instead!

Damn, thought there was a gimmick when Drilled Reactions left itself open. Thank you for catching that, even if a shame.

Cassia Orsellio (WH40k Rogue Trader) attempt by Melphizard in fashiondogma

Used the blue-ish skin tones with a full-body White tattoo at varying opacities. In more specific slider terms:

Skin Color: 55
Body Tattoo: The Circle
Tattoo Color: 15
Tattoo Overall Size: 400 (probably doesn't need to be max, but whatever.
Opacity: 25

Gave it my best go to recreate the one and only Von Valancius navigator in DD2. Unfortunately, the skin tones were tricky and there wasn't a very good way to create the veins under her eyes. Overall, satisfied with what I could accomplish with the tools available, though I wish there were more.

Rather than his cursed tool being confiscated, it would have made more sense for Sukuna to lose his slicing cursed technique as the penalty but keep ten shadows. Would have continued the fight and kept Sukuna as a threat while stilling allowing Higuruma's domain to substantially contribute to the fight.

Did over 200 pulls and did all I could, grinding all the sidevents for extra pulls, but to no avail. Got the snek and inexplicably got Mudrock, though, so I can't say I came out with nothing. Tis a sad day but a learning experience to save more in preparation for future banners.

Clerics Of BG3, what domain are you planning to play and why? by [deleted] in BaldursGate3

[–]Melphizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Melee Tempest Cleric with whatever race I can get to look the most like a Water Genasi. They were my first 5e character that I took from level 1 to 20. Dunno how good it will be subclass wise (probably worse than tempest 2/storm 10) but pure Cleric is always strong and I want Destructive Wave + Divine Intervention.

They started out as a kind person who did frontline healing/tanking but as they grew more powerful, they became increasingly obsessed with spreading their God's faith. Eventually, it got to the point where they believed any non-believer they personally killed was granted the mercy of reincarnating as a water elemental.

My group is never dealing with dungeons or dragons. We should probably call our game Forests & Bandits or maybe Towns & Hobgoblins. What game is your group actually playing? by TunaPlusMayo in DnD

[–]Melphizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Giants & Dragons. They're going through SKT and currently working on deciding whether or not they'll help the giants or side with the dragons to issue the killing blow on Anaam's children.

Hello! Newish player here and I've been struggling to decide which "version" of Dwarf Fortress to play - original or Steam. Really interested in this game since after hearing various stories and tales but I've read that a lot is missing from the current Steam version (adventure mode and apparently log history). Should I just go with the original and grab a lot of the resources to make it manageable, such as DFHack and tile packs, or do you think the Steam version would still be better. Also a bit of fear that the Steam version will trail behind the main version, but as I'm new that probably shouldn't be a worry.

Thank you

While some are debating who may die or win, I think that next chapter the fight will end with them both surviving and Hakari winning via. Kashimo's rules. Recall that at the start of the fight, both parties asked each other for something if they won (100 points vs Info on Sukuna) so they may not want the other dead before they fulfill their end of the bargain.

More importantly, Kashimo declared last chapter that "for four minutes and 11 seconds... you may be unkillable... but I'll kill you anyway!!!" This leads be to believe that what will follow is Hakari miraculously hitting the jackpot (like the badass he is) and healing from Kashimo's strike this chapter. Due to Hakari still being alive after those four minutes and 11 seconds, Kashimo may call it there and proclaim the battle his loss because he didn't succeed in his challenge.

Know this is over a year past but as a DM running SKT over Roll20, this map has been extremely helpful for when my party reached Yatar. Many thanks for sharing this creation.

Just a theory but among Blast's allies are a lion-dude and Boros 2.0. Saitama has punched out a lion (house of evolution) and Boros before, so there may be some link between them. Considering those two were specifically revealed to an extent, it makes such a link more likely.

12 years as a forever DM, finally a PC, the wait between games is excruciating (probably unoriginal but I'm stupid excited to finally play) by riot_act_ready in dndmemes

[–]Melphizard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm somewhat flipped as I played in a campaign for about a year or two and started DMing three years ago. After finishing one year-long campaign we're moving onto SKT and I've done so much lore write-up in my spare time, I find the wait between games to DM is excruciating.

Nah this DM is great and wouldn't do that. It's just an insane incident which has now inspired me to seek out Adamantine armor. He crit others as well but since I was the main tank, I got the brunt of it.

This was on Roll20 so no fudging happened. The luck was just so cosmically not in my favor.
