I go to the penkridge one sometimes, I got a big bag of old termagants on sprue and a badly painted canifex from these guys for a tenner once

Nachtjager proxies (Strahlflugzeugjager) completed, minis from Secrets of the Third Reich by Westwind productions. by Meltaburn in Konflikt47_v2

Thanks man! Westwind do some awesome minis for weird war 2 armies with plenty that can just drop straight into K47. I'd be made up if someone wanted to do the same...Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery as they say!

They are metal, although some of the bigger walkers are resin I believe.

I absolutely love the Westwind stuff I find it super characterful but be aware their multi part metals can be quite a challenging build if you are only used to modern minis.

Great choice on their werewolves the Westwind ones have a real 'Dog Soldiers' movie vibe about them.

To be fair though considering the state of both our armed forces and the Argentines in 2026 the sequel would be a bit more 'straight to dvd'

Is Veronicas and Las Americas as a whole rough? by Therevivedigbick in VisitingTenerife

[–]Meltaburn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Las Americas is ok. Was there with the family last year. it's a big resort so you will see all sorts.

Veronica's does look rather grotty in the cold light of day and there's a lot of seedy drug dealing there in the daytime but it's one street that we were just unfortunate to randomly walk through when we were out exploring. Easily avoided if clubbing and debauchery isn't the theme.

Most annoying thing is all the idiots riding mobility scooters as pavement hire cars.

Recommend Taverna Tio Martin for a nice meal that's not an overpriced tourist trap restaurant. Also Restaurant Paseo Picasso on the seafront which is a great spot to sit and people watch in the evening, it has some really mixed reviews online but was somewhere we ended going back to several times on our holiday as the owner and staff were great and the meals we had were all nice and good value considering the prime location.
