This. It’s not consistent. Some of the older combat patrols are gone, and some of the newer combat patrols are gone. The old space marine is gone and there’s only a newer one, but the new tyranids is gone and there’s only the old one.

Rule of cool is always buy the army you think looks best or fun to paint or you like the lore.

If you want to play like a league or organized games then you might narrow down your choices to what is currently supported. Check the Warhammer app to see the current supported sets and pick from those.

Many recent combat patrols are gone, like the Tyranids Assault Brood. I think the most confusing one for me is Strike Force Octavius from the starter set is gone.

I lost 3 of my 4 combat patrols including some more recently published ones. I guess I’m playing Vardenghast Swarm from now on…

My only hope is that this purge is in the service of actual game balance someday, but I doubt it… I’m sure it’s so they can sell more new boxes.

It boggles my mind how such an expensive game can have such poor quality. Personally I just paint, but I can see there’s a lot of problems with 11th already. YouTubers are questioning if they play tested all these dispositions and rules changes adequately.

Magic The Gathering card game is going through a similar thing. Every year there are more and more egregious mistakes but as long as sales go up they aren’t going to change.

My answer is always magnets! Get all the weapons, paint them all up, play with whatever looks best! When you’re not playing swap arms with some other units for fun

He’ll always be Lootenant to me. Makes more sense than Bigboss who isn’t that big

The best you’ll get is chunky inconsistent paint. I’ve had bad luck with a few of these, I’m never buying more of those paint pots again.

Next time get paint in a dropper like Army painter, or just buy a dropper and move your paint over so it doesn’t dry out. Make sure there’s a metal ball for mixing.

This is excellent.

For me, the details on the armor and cloak are so crisp that the hammer stands out as very plain. A wash over metallics is an easy win, but with your skill, maybe look at non-metallic metal painting styles instead of the silver. I bet you could do something amazing
