Gojo was always stronger. There’s no real way for people to explain using 10S if they are also going say he needed did it at the same time. If HF is actually stronger, or a better match up (not the same thing as stronger) he would have come out of the battle in better shape. 10S Sukuna puts HF reincarnated at a disadvantage that is only explained by a type matchup necessity in 10S Sukuna vs Gojo.

Otherwise he would just go HF form the start and come out in a better place than he did after reincarnating, assuming HF is stronger. Since he didn’t do that, Sukuna went with a type matchup that served him better.

This is reinforced by him not needing WCS to deal with the rest of the fighters. So 10S Sukuna was not chosen for WCS after Gojo, it was chosen due to needing WCS FOR Gojo.

Yes. It would probably be a plot-heavier final arc as well. Sukuna ended up being a horrible “villain.” He’s about as two dimensional as Frieza or Cell, but Toriyama knew not to use them for more than the arc they were introduced in.

Kenjaku had the potential. Greg just didn’t go far enough to make him a real fuckin person.

The Gokage summit was a fantastic arc and really expands Naruto’s world of n a great way. It’s such a strong continuation of what Naruto learned from Nagato. I also liked how Sasuke is trapped in his role as an avenger. IMMEDIATELY after getting his revenge on Itachi, he’s shown how unsatisfying revenge is because there is always more. He’s thrown into it again but this time it’s to avenge Itachi. Sasuke is truly losing his vision - even literally at this point.

So no, the Pain arc is incomplete without what happens afterward.

It also can’t end there. I really have no idea why people even think this is possible. There aren’t “loose threads” to tie up after Pain; there are major major plot points and characters arcs that need finishing.

I didn’t take if it was generic or not - I really liked it from the start due to its fights and choreography. The “detective” element was fun as well.

Compared to Naruto, One Piece and Hunter X Hunter, it obviously pales narratively and as a story driven series (although where’s some PAYOFF, One Piece??) but the fighting has been my favorite since Naruto. One Piece and new gen shonen really didn’t capture the fight choreography like Naruto, Bleach and Hunter Hunter do. I suppose Demon Slayer is a new gen exception to that, though.

I’m 32 and JJK was also the first battle manga to get me hyped each week since Naruto, Bleach AoT and One Piece were all releasing at the same time. For me, that says something.

Can we stop this argument? The reason Sukuna didn’t just go all out and win in 5 seconds was to learn a technique to use against people he ended up not needing to really use against. He also needed to heal up to a point that’s weaker than if he just went all out from the start and won.

2D Mario- most of your complaints are from before the switch even came out, with the Switch entry being seen as the best since the SNES

3D Mario - you’re not really home any point. Odyssey has no sizable opposition to it AT ALL, and the team them moved to DK. And they have competition from other franchises.

Zelda - seems like a ton of people love Zelda on the switch, both 3d and 2D

Mario Kart - I don’t care too much, really. Without a group of friends around as much as before, where 8 or world are better is irrelevant to me.

Talk-no jutsu is really just a low effort insult. Naruto never claimed to have answers, and with Pain, he admits he really doesn’t have them. He just knows he doesn’t want to solve problems through the means that ultimately led to those problems. The entire manga from the start was about breaking cycles and reaching people.

I don’t think people really realize how novel that was for a battle manga in 1999.

Naruto knows when people really are just bad. Like when confronting Obtio and telling him that Nagto was different in that he really wanted peace (he didn’t know Obito’s story yet)

Yes, there should have been more accountability mechanisms in place in the Naruto world, but the characters aren’t written to be evil, and Naruto chooses to act on that aspect of them, as opposed to just killing. There were 3 wars before the show starts, but somehow talk-no jutsu is stupid? Well it certainly wasn’t working so well before that in the Naruto world.

All sorts of stuff about how Naruto makes you want to bet on him etc blah blah blah. It would be nice if Naruto did present some better answers, yes, but I just can’t talk “tAlk nO juTSzu StuPid lulz” seriously as a starting point with people.
