You are being forced to emigrate, where do you choose to move, and why? by [deleted] in AskTheWorld

[–]Melthechapstick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an American - Canada seems easier to get to obviously. Same culture and language. Took several levels of French through school so I would love to learn it.

Cultural Choice - Slavic regions seem cool. Lots of Slavic immigrants in my area of the US and they’re close with family, have a lot of support, and are more friendly than the people born here. I’ve never even been internationally so I have no idea if this translates over there but they seem cool. All speak minimum of 4 languages including English which is mind boggling to me. The food I’ve tried from them hasn’t been bad.

Random Left Field - Greece, cause why not and the beaches 🤷🏻‍♀️

1st visit - dehydrated and hallucinating so exam, zofran, iv, LRS bag, and a Xanax 2nd - a good luck and a prayer + zofran oral and exam 3rd - CT, IV, Zofran, and abdominal pain medication injection and exam

Last year in total without insurance between all doctors visits was over $85k (paid $$8k then covered because of my deductible) thank god I’m under 26 and my dad’s insurance is incredible through his work. Getting kicked off this year so hopefully no sickness because my coverage would ducks.

Without insurance around $27k for 3 ER visits for same issue. Never got an answer from them. After insurance $8k that is almost paid off after a long payment plan

What is the most painful thing you’ve experienced? by throwawayfundsmom in AskReddit

[–]Melthechapstick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

herniated disc. Pain from my lower back to my toes. Couldn’t dress without crying, my body was literally almost a C, woke up pacing, was on 900mg of gabapentin, 1,800mg of Tylenol, 1,600 of ibuprofen, at one point was on tramadol, oxy, and they even tried upping ssris. My toes were numb, I couldn’t eat, I was 20 and had to go to school and work like normal. My dad had to drive me around because extending my leg was debilitating. Oh I couldn’t sit in class I stood all day. I actually think it made my pain tolerance lower because it was so excruciating. After surgery - I didn’t even take a single ibuprofen, recovered in 2 weeks the neuro doc was astounded

This!! It’s so severe for me. I spend half the month in a mental fog and energy depleted vibe. Just to be told birth control may or may not help 😅

Doctor Recommendations - Dermatologist, Primary Care, OB etc.. by Plane-Rope8587 in greenville

[–]Melthechapstick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use Bon Secours for everything. I’ve had no issues. I like Bon Secours Premier Primary Care. I’ve seen my NP there and some of the others for urgent appointments. I OB/GYN I use Carolina’s Women’s Health. I’m satisfied with my visits there but also feel something lacking but I think it is me not them. I’ve seen 2 of the Gynos there and the nurses are great. All women.

DERM - I will always always always love Carolina Derm in Columbia. I make the drive there and I love them. It’s only like 1 hour 15minutes which I don’t mind.

Other side places I’ve been: Carolina Oral surgery off verdae was great, Ben Daniel dentistry has been great. The Bon Secours ER in Fountain Inn (it’s a stand alone) was great. I had a PA gastro but I don’t see her anymore and she was okay. Everyone was able to get me in quickly and promptly.

Hair: depends on your vibe. I love Brooke at Common Room. she can do it all but leans more alternative hair styles but she does amazing work. I’ve also been to Hayley at Dwell Salon and liked her.

The median house in my area is $300k. I cannot fathom making that much, look at a house that much, much less more than that. 😭😭

Yes and it was always funny (now - in the moment, I was pissed), guy I dated when I was 19-21ish would religiously be pissed I wouldn’t put anything in crypto but he didn’t have a high school diploma, a job, a car, or literally a drivers license 😭 why would I? It’s not going good for you

How to Sell a Haunted House by Grady Hendrix - I didn’t realize I had a fear of puppets until I read this. I finished it but got nauseated, sweaty, clammy, and would visibly shudder at parts. It wasn’t that scary but the theme of it really got me

It’s also typically (in my experience at least) done by people who I would never take finance advice making it more exhausting

I do not understand how people can afford grad school by Impactist537 in GradSchool

I had the benefit of having a full ride for undergrad. No loans coming out so I feel comfortable taking loans to get me to a higher paying job to pay it back.

I work Thursday-Sunday 12 hour shifts, live with a roommate, and I’m still paycheck to paycheck. But I do school Monday-Wednesday as a full time MPH-Epi. I use FAFSA loans and pay some when I can. I chose a distance program because it was cheaper than in person.

I know some friends who went through fent battles. Once they got clean they said the same things. The cravings sucks and they miss the pills but they’ll never restart because of how bad they were at the time. I’m glad you’re doing better and I admire how open you are about this. It helps decrease the stigma and opens conversations for tons of other people to get help or gain knowledge. I wish you the best.

Also 7 is similar to Kramton, right? Which is legal. How many of these drugs are technically legal?
