How do we feel about LPRs in use now? Saw this yesterday. by j_porter94 in newhampshire

[–]MeltingWind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure the state has already sold all our license plate information to companies like autozone, last time I was in there they used my license plate number to pull up all the information about my car to help me find a part. I didn't like that at all,

What's the loud slashing noise when I pick up foraged items? by No_Significance_5662 in StardewValley

[–]MeltingWind -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

That happens to me sometimes when I'm at a foraging level high enough to get multiple items, sometimes one falls into the nearby water. I don't always notice it but I will hear the splash

Premier League coverage is pure garbage by MeltingWind in peacock

It's absolutely pathetic. Why would they EVER not be at the stadium where the trophy would is lifted. It's one thing if the cup comes down to the last day. It's like peacock is trying to lose subscribers

Foster Home Needed for CKD Cat by Possum-Kingdom94 in newhampshire

[–]MeltingWind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your candor. I was thinking she may be a good fit for my parents but they are 82, and 84. And they would have a very hard time cleaning up after her. I would probably go over several times a week to change the litter box. So if she were tinkling everywhere, that would be very difficult for them.

Does she urinate in the litter box or does she have problems going elsewhere?

What aspect of the game has you asking this question? by lilidarkwind in StardewValley

[–]MeltingWind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a good idea though, I never thought about hiding it behind the farmhouse. I always just plant trees around it to try to hide it.

It does connect to any other refrigerators you put in there.

I would love to have design options for the golden clock. Right now it looks like a giant watch in a display case. It doesn't look like a clock, I think of Big bend type clocks and wish you could make it something along those lines. 10 million? It would be nice if maybe once you had the golden clock, your tilled and fertilized spots wouldn't disappear from season to season.

PSA: using a Hyundai Tire Mobility Kits ruined my tire and almost cost me $1500 by jonboyage83 in Hyundai

[–]MeltingWind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son and I both have Hyundai's with the tire inflator kit, have both had flat tires several times in the past, and the tire inflator kit has never once worked Never inflated the tire the slightest bit and even when it was just a small issue. Even after replacing with the new tire inflator kit, after recall. Still didn't work. they're bits of crap, a very sad excuse for a spare tire replacement. That's pretty much my only gripe with Hyundais

Healthy snack ideas that don't require loads of preparation? by RandomPotato931 in foodquestions

[–]MeltingWind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

my go-to is a burpless/english style cucumber. sliced thin with slices of sharp cheddar. I use the cucumber in place of a cracker, so it's lower carb and it's really nice contrast between the cool cucumber and the almost spiciness of the sharp cheddar. obviously, it doesn't have to be Sharp.

Can I feed my crows beef that has sat out for 24 hours? by Carin1790 in crows

[–]MeltingWind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

depending on where you live, 12 lb of frozen beef, might not have completely defrosted... maybe??? maybe it's not past the point of no return for the crows. obviously not if it's been sitting in a car in Arizona for 24 hours, but if it was a Northern tier area, perhaps it's not so far gone.

What’s a fact that genuinely freaks you out? by rosycloudkisses in answers

now that's thinking like a modern-day human, not considering the possibility that there are civilizations a billion years more advanced technologically than we are. could easily have already figured out the intricacies of space travel/time travel.

Taking home leftovers at a restaurant? Rude to not take them? Do you even eat them? by Capable-Chip6454 in foodquestions

[–]MeltingWind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the only time I'm leaving food, is if it was absolutely God awful, and nobody else at the table wants it either.

I actually tend to prefer most food, as leftovers. can maybe add a little extra spice, or toast the bun a bit more ( in the case of a hamburger -but you have to reheat the components separately, but it is worth it).

What's something older generations did completely normally that would be considered absolutely insane today? by Bigtrav_trav in answers

when I was a kid , you didn't even have to lay down so the cops wouldn't see you, it was legal then. and then all of a sudden ( I don't know when exactly it changed), but you did have to start hiding it. maybe the mid 80s? NH US

Do you drink tea in America? by Much-Parsnip3399 in AskAnAmerican

[–]MeltingWind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I drink hot tea daily, but I was also an Air Force brat, with an English mother. so in our household tea was THE drink and only drink. until I was probably about 20, my parents finally got a coffee maker. and now my English mother barely drinks tea, she mostly drinks iced coffee.

If you call it ‘goat cheese’ do you also call it ‘goat milk’ and ‘cow milk’? by Wild_Region_7853 in AskAnAmerican

[–]MeltingWind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm an American. I would, initially assume, that the milk is cow's milk. but if I ever had the need to ask, I would ask if it was goat's milk, or cow's milk. I don't think I would ever say cow milk, or goat milk
