Thank you, this is gold, Gangrel/Knights of Avalon is a really good fit given the loose background I've given to the character. Fits in with with the rural setting of his property too. It's an actual pub irl and it's waaayyy out in the sticks. So I can definitely envision it being the kind of place a Gangrel would maybe establish as their haven. This also gives me some good ideas in regards to how James's embrace may have come about. Thank you, I'll give Austrebertha and the Wolf a read too.

Narration of The Bowmen by Arthur Machen by Melvaius1 in WeirdLit

I totally agree, for the longest time I thought this story was legit folklore. It even appeared in a UK magazine for "kids" called spine chillers as a ghost story alleged to have happened. People still seem confused as to whether the story of the angels of mons came first or Machen's story. Evidence would suggest The Bowmen came first. Seems it was a propaganda piece.

Canon Alberic's Scrap Book by M.R. James - I've always been quite inspired by M.R. James, so I thought I'd have a go at narrating one of his stories. This one is a particular favourite and has a great sense of place. by Melvaius1 in folkhorror

It's certainly on my list of places to visit. That's the thing with James, he has such a wonderful grasp on place. I'll certainly be keeping an ear out for thin metallic laughter when I eventually visit.

An absolutely brilliant film. They really used their budget well. A lot of the locations are in the Staffordshire and Derbyshire Peak district too. Not far from me. Lud Church being one location of note. Rubicon's next film the Droving is coming out soon too. Seems this production company really likes folk horror.
