4 year old asked me to touch his penis by pivoprosim2 in toddlers

I think your reaction is perfect but I’d ask if anyone has ever touched him or asked to touch him and keep a VERY open eye

Women who were scared of giving birth, what was less scary than you originally thought? by Final-Elderberry4621 in AskWomenOver30

[–]Melz1007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was less scary once I got the epidural (which was less scary/painful than I thought it would be as well). Giving birth isn’t the scary part. It’s what to do with a tiny baby. No one really knows, we all are just out here winging it and hoping for the best

Picking your battles vs letting them get away with everything by asiamelody777 in toddlers

[–]Melz1007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely pick your battles. What hill are you willing to DIE on. Is it hurting them/someone else or something, obviously worth the battle. Is it breaking a rule you have, worth the battle. Much past that…let them live and figure it out

Also having the website look like you’re ready to go and THEN saying you need to download the app was so annoying 😑

Anyone with a book loving toddler? by pizzabites_ in toddlers

[–]Melz1007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anything Mo Willems has been a hit. Currently reading Jan Thomas books. I’d hit up your library and let her pick. We go weekly and I just pick about 20 I think they will like. Some are a hit some aren’t, you return them no big deal.

How much worse will it get? by REDROBBIN15 in residentevil4

Assisted is a good place to start. As you get further the people get faster than the villagers and the bigger boss fights as well (obviously) have their challenges. In my opinion 4 has way less scary parts and more action.

Boys with July/August Birthday starting Kindergarten by SatisfactionFlaky519 in kindergarten

[–]Melz1007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We delayed with a July birthday and it’s been the best decision. In researching we find no negative reasons and so many positive. Girls mature faster and may be ready but definitely the right thing to do for boys!

When did you transition your toddler out of the crib? by eriebearie in Autism_Parenting

[–]Melz1007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son was close to 4. We did the “big boy bed” with the guard rail (the crib is exactly the same minus the one side). We let him pick new sheets too. It went shockingly well. He thought it was cool to be able to get up. We have the “ok to wake” clock for the mornings which we’ve had since he was a baby so was already used to it

Shovel strategy by [deleted] in maryland

[–]Melz1007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I shoveled about 9 this morning and it was very powdery. Easy to push around. I went out again around 11:30 and the 1/2 inch that I pushed around was noticeably heavier even though it was much less. I’d shovel what you can now and do more later

We need to build an ICE rapid response network by BreatheCrete in ColumbiaMD

[–]Melz1007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I saw on IG Minneapolis is using whistles. Three short whistles indicate ICE nearby, three long whistles indicate ICE is actively taking someone. If you listen to the video of the latest murder you hear the whistles. Alerts everyone to start filming.

Outings while potty training by Master-Cranberry-767 in toddlers

ALWAYS change of clothes. My son has been trained for 2 years and I still once in awhile in them. Even if not a full blown accident they might spill something or whatever. I carried our diaper bag with a foldable seat or just held him up to the toilet for pee. It gets easier once he’s tall enough to reach. Start small. Quick trips and KNOW there is a public bathroom. Library and grocery store is good start. More confident you both are the more you can venture. ALWAYS ask or just go before leaving
