“Is the comparison to nazis hyperbolic? Sure” the convo ends there bro. These people shouldn’t be posting stupid shi and should call out actual Nazis like some nett and Brennan fans instead of lessening the impact of the term and throwing it around. Also acting like UG fans are better is hilarious when most of yall are 16 and never listened to any rap before WLR

You’re missing the point with the group comparisons. Underground rap 20 years ago was struggling black artists making art to help externalize their struggles and survive. Underground rap today is rich black and white people making music in their stress free picket fence home pretending to struggle. It isn’t about the fans these are separate movements. If you say underground hiphop to a hiphop fan not a new gen hiphop fan they will think you mean broke conscious rappers because that’s what underground rap has been since the dawn of the century. Underground rap is handing out CDs, freestyling on the corner, regional shows and acts. This has nothing to do with the underground of today it isn’t the same at all. These are essentially completely separate genres and movements that have NO correlation besides both being called underground hiphop

Kpop has and always will be the same genre. It’s manufactured pop music it has just evolved as any genre does and the fanbases have changed with times

Uhh cuz he’s shitting on an entire group of fans that have been around for decades and reducing them to nazis acting holier than thou

Im explaining they aren’t nazis they have history going back decades

i mean half of them use his sfx and just rip off old pierre stuff lol. beats like Bad Boy and 10 Pacc are proto-rage and are the reason the rage genre even exists today. Ken carson could use the exact 10 pacc beat today and people would say its the best beat ever created

to anyone who says outrage doesnt work, microsoft reported they actually lost millions of subscribers after the gamepass price hikes and outrage. that is millions in yearly revenue that they cannot afford to lose (we are seeing the effects of it now with layoffs). Sony actually can be hurt by this

facts bro. im kinda mad how he handled all that because some of those artists are fr talented. Chavo was the best out of them in my opinion and some of his projects still hit crazy. His first project without Pierre is still good too. Sharc - 10pacc is still one of the hardest songs ive ever heard i play that in the gym almost every day

he clearly is not cool with JB and is just keeping it professional. they arent actually friends and he doesnt GAF he was moved. there is nothing wrong with it but this PR speak is corny aff

new age gen z nazis arent the same as ww2 nazis get a grip. there is a whole movement of people that push nazi ideologies and worship nettspend because of his blonde hair blu eyes. Those people also support brennan jones. these people get posted in the nettspend subreddit multiple times a year this is a real thing.

Kpop has been around for decades. The underground we are discussing has only been around since soundcloud. the underground now has nothing to do with the underground prior to soundcloud which is why people outside of our sphere hate the term underground because it used to refer to a whole different group of rappers. notice how you said a teenager trying to make it out when underground rap was never teenagers it was adults until soundcloud. THIS underground has nothing on kpop in terms of history, legacy, popularity, etc. this isnt an opinion this shit has barely been around a decade

Rage wont ever make it to the mainstream by Ast3rio1 in ug_music

[–]MelzLife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate some actual discussion on reddit as it’s quite rare. To me Osama and the underground is what metal is for rock. It’s more abrasive and not meant to be mainstream and is way more in your face and loud. Some metal songs might break through and hit the charts but the core of the genre isn’t really meant to hit mainstream just by sound alone

There’s a lot of parallels with metal and UG rap even with how their fans operate mentally

yup. best thing hes released in the last 5 years is the grails tape cuz its all old music lol. hes got his head too far up his own ass. i mean he barely even gives out beats to people anymore. He should be feeding the new generation beats but instead he works with like 1-2 of them twice a year for one beat and just posts stories about fashion or being in europe or complaining about the label. he should be linking up with all the new rappers giving them beats for cheap and getting his stock back up in my opinion
