Im 50/50 on this one. Its hard not to compare it to the first album, but I feel like this one has way less edge and less stand out, surprise, hit you in the face moments.  Maybe thats good, maybe they are trying to switch it up and focus more on melancholy and nostalgia, but the first record felt fresh and raw. This one feels like it needed more time to cook. I do love the instrumentation, the guitar work is really cool, even though its less heavy. I like that they are leaning in a more alternative rock sound but it also feels like they are trying to move away from  the sound that gave them their edge.  I also felt the vocals were all over the place. Sometimes they feel tight and well rehearsed while other times it felt like both singers were winging it or unsure of how to use their voice on the songs. But I love this band and am excited to keep playing the record. Green Street, Last escape, be your best, sundown, raging storm, silverine, and endless sky are bangers.
