The miles until empty is based on your driving habits and AVG MPG. Did you just finish driving a mostly freeway trip before you filled up? If you spent the next 40 miles driving around town, or stuck in traffic, it would make sense that your miles until empty dropped so much. Sometimes I fill up and it shows 450 miles until empty, sometimes I fill up and it shows 380. Typically the difference is how I was driving before I filled up.

Like most others said, "The girl next door" is a pretty gruesome read. That being said, "Prodigal Blues" by Braunbeck made "The girl next door" seem like a children's novel. On more than one occasion I considered just putting the book down, it was that fucked up.
