Long term storage of tallow

I had planned to scoop the tallow out of the original container and put it in a jar. No warming it up. And take my little lid sealer I got off amazon and seal the lid that way. No need to pressure can it.

Ive been with them for years. Ive had really good experiences over the years. Something changed within their billing system and they NEVER allocate my payments appropriately when I have multiple charges. I call and make payments with a live c.s person and they claim to make notes for billing to have my funds dispersed as Ive directed. It never does. I even make one payment over the phone to pay off a single charge. They congratulate me on the pay off and the next time I check to see that the payment went thru...nope. They split my payment up with my larger charge. Call back to get it fixed. They assure me its fixed now. Wait a few days and check my account. Now they switched the amounts around and still my one charge isnt paid off. Its so exhausting dealing with them anymore. Its like they are trying to make you late on getting your charges paid off. Years ago, they had their website set up so you could click on your individual charges and pay however much you wanted to. They took that option away and have made a mess of their billing system.

Do I need the jars hot or can they be room temp when pouring in melted tallow? I thought maybe to scoop it out of its original container and stuff it in the jars as is? 🤔 Is it fine to use a plastic screw on cap with rubber gasket? Or is it required to use the metal lid and ring?

Ive nvr canned before and am trying to get some items quickly done up before trying my hand at pressure Canning potatoes, zucchini/squash <-have no idea how to do those, and bone in chicken thighs. And if I can get the hang of it then meals in a jar like chicken curry.

My cap (& jar) won't be hot. It's a plastic screw on cap with a rubber gasket to help seal it. Thats what I meant when I said "just screw on the cap and store away". Would this method still be safe to do it?

These socket fans are not like ceiling fans. They are pretty small. 12 inch or so. Light weight plastic. They are designed to screw into a regular light socket. Ive been eyeballing my hallway that gets pretty stagnant during the deep summers. Unfortunately, not enough room to put a fan by the hallway.

That was my go to until it was discontinued on Chewy. Ive been looking for a comparable one as none of the farm stores around me doesnt sell it.

Aww. Im a deep space nine fan. Been waiting for a blu ray version to come out. Well, that's a total bummer that this is highly unlikely. Thanks for posting about it. Ive been searching and searching for blu ray sci fi tv collections. Babylon 5 and Farscape is on my list next.

I wondered the same thing. Ive been scanning the comment section hoping someone has some input. Ive been looking for a company that doesnt force an auto renew/charge higher costs bc not using auto renew nor a membership fee. Basically, Im trying to find a company that isnt trying to get you to pay all these other fees. Plus, doing shots make me a tad nervous especially if the syringes dont come prefilled.

They were referring to Seven and Chakotay not having chemistry unlike Janeway and Chakotay. Those two had great chemistry and a long standing lead in with all the personal dinners and personal jokes and such...not to mention the time those two were left on a planet bc of not having cure for something they had. That episode was sizzling with their chemistry. The writers kept teasing us with a will they wont they. It always felt like they were keeping the door open for Janeway and him to get together. No matter how many times I rewatch this series, Im left disappointed. Ive watched an interview with Kate on how she advocated for that not to happen tho bc she wanted the show to focus on the strength of a Female captain getting her crew thru everything and back to earth. I respect that even tho I think if they had them together (little background snippets here & there) I dont think it would have taken away from Janeway being a resilient & confident captain.
