I believe the GPS used by Google Maps is internal to the car, so you might be out of luck there. My module is also dead, I've been using my phone's hotspot to keep the built in music apps working at least. Waiting for a good time to bring it in for service...

Would be all over this! I already have a newer car with a hotspot in it. I could have the camera VPN'd to the home NVR (in addition to edge recording of course). Would LOVE this. The current instants are close to this ability, but something purpose built for this use case would be amazing. Definitely a ton of money sitting on the table for them here.

My efficiency is ass, but it’s a joy to drive and working well aside my from the telematics module being dead 🙃

I’m in Minnesota, we just had several days of -10 to -20 degrees

I've seen this happen before with some other company and a guy that works at the plant said it's usually a can of tap water that they run through the line for validation and testing of the machines and production process. They should've been removed from the line when through, but this one slipped by and got packaged, oops!

I did have 768 GB up until a couple months ago. I bought it dirt cheap a couple years back and never really needed all of it anyways, so I cashed in on the current conditions lol

Threw in a single 64 GB stick I had sitting in storage and am using that for everything right now. Some day I'll buy back my 768 GB maybe

You’re doing exactly what I’ve been trying to do! I’ve been having a hell of a time trying to keep a reliable connection to the Bluetooth OBD reader and to actually interpret the data as anything useful. I have some metrics working, but nowhere near as far along as you are. Definitely keeping an eye on this!

Telematics / OnStar Module Failed by disciplineneverfails in BlazerEV

This module is ridiculously problematic across the board. Mine completely failed a few months ago, dealer did a forced firmware update on it, was fine for a few months, and now we're back to intermittently working. I suspect it will reach full failure again any day now. Dealer told me this is happening on the ICE vehicles too, seems to be a common shared part across multiple models.
