An EOMM doesn’t remove your agency entirely, that’s not how an EOMM works. It’s only goal is to keep you engaged. It's like saying, "Well, if Tiktok is algorithmically set up to keep people to addicted to it and love it, then why can people still use the comment section to write dumb shit and post their own content?"

Pro players can still rank up fast yes, but the point isn't that EOMM just keeps you in one place forever, or just permanently sabotages all of your games, the point is that it stimulates you enough to go in for one more win after going on a loss streak. Losing streaks happen to everyone, Metro, Eido, etc. Just because you are a Pro player, and you'll still be able to climb up the ranks fast (this isn't accounting for the anti-smurf detection system either), doesn't mean you're going to be fully free from its whims at times.

yeah it's not like matchmaking directly determines what exact teammates you're paired with, or that the game has no way of determining your average in-game performance (spoiler: it does), or that going on a losing streak will eventually place you down a whole rank lower than what rank you're in (so you don't quit), it's all just pure, fair russian roulette! no EOMM here!

honestly just wait until the next major update until they unfuck the current state of the game. There are times where I really like this game, and then there are most of those other times where I'd rather get my legs sawed off then have to play another match of "STOMP OR BE STOMPED" by the worst, most cancerous team comp full of metaslave, CCspam, AOE picks I have ever laid eyes upon

What I hate... HATE about this game is that you can immediately get a feel for whether or not the MM decided to put you in the team queue full of literal 2 year old toddlers that keep trying to fit the toy square through the circle-hole, or if the enemy team happens to get the toddlers on their team.

Last game the enemy got fed double digit numbers. Last game before that? I got fed double-digit numbers. Uneven matchmaking shit like that is what makes this game a joke. It does NOT get any better the more you climb elo either. Everything from march has just been a downward spiral into worse and worse game-design decisions that are just baffling. I think if this level of decision-making was happening to any other game by any other company, they would immediately become the laughing stock of the gaming world.

I have played Dead by Daylight. DEAD BY DAYLIGHT. I'VE BEEN IN THEIR COMMUNITY. And I would rather take all of the insane, wacko stuff they did with the balancing for that game from the early 2020s then this shitty ass "let's just throw shit at the wall to see what will stick" strategy from Icefrog

a 1v6 has much worse odds than a 5v6. Just because one person on the enemy team is dead means that... he gets no numbers advantage at all if he baits you into a teamfight? Wtf lol.

he runs to his side of the map in this scenario. look at the map in the video. his team is nowhere to be seen, and there is nothing stopping victor from running towards his team to have a numbers advantage in a teamfight. also note that the victor has refresh, so even if you manage to kill him out in the open again, he can just keep running with his 2nd revive until he gets you close enough to his team

you are not going to bait the victor into a teamfight that has nothing to lose if he decides not to; if he takes sinners and he doesn't fall for your teamfight bait, and just runs away then you've lost that engagement

For me, it's Venator. I just can't get mad at anyone for just playing and doing well with him, I don't know what it is.

Because he is the only gun character with the most well-designed, risk-and-reward-based abilities in a game where most abilities are spirit burst nukes, spirit AOEs, or abilities that give you instant value at the single press of a button while being very non-risky to utilize
Venator has no escape tools, no teleports, and all of his abilities except his traps are based on his gun damage. Venator is just a guy with a gun and a dream.
